On May 11, Baiyangtang Village, Yanquan Town, Yizhang County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, several large fish ponds were sparkling, the Loach looking for food was tumbling and jumping, and farmer Li Keping was feeding homemade soil feed to the Loach in the pond: "these are all treasures that get rid of poverty and become rich. I want to take good care of them!"

In the past, Li Geping has been a migrant worker, has driven a forklift, worked as a porter, the income is not high, the family is struggling on the poverty line. Once, seeing on the Internet that Loach contains a variety of vitamins, there is a saying that "ginseng in water", which is especially suitable for weakness, the elderly and patients with cardiovascular disease. Li Geping came up with the idea of raising Loach. After investigating and understanding the market, Li Geping went to Guangzhou, Guangdong, Zixing, Hunan and other places to learn the technology of high-density ecological culture of Loach, and began to learn the relevant knowledge of raising Loach.

In December 2014, Li Geping invested more than 80, 000 yuan and leased 5 mu of land in his hometown to dig a pond. He introduced the first batch of 100000 Loach seedlings from Foshan, Guangdong, and began the "big stem". However, Misgurnus anguillicaudatus is picky to the environment, the breeding technology is harsh, at the beginning of breeding, due to the lack of practice, the technology is not mature, the Loach raised by Li Geping either dies or escapes, or is eaten by birds and snakes. The survival rate of 100000 Loach seedlings is only 30% to 40%, which lost more than 30, 000 yuan that year.

The road to success will never be plain sailing, and Li Geping will not be discouraged, and he will gradually find his way out: use bean curd dregs and fish meal to make a high-protein feed, and feed it on time every morning and evening after fermentation; the most important thing is to grasp the water temperature and PH value. If the water used for breeding is not up to standard, the formula of the feed is not suitable, which will lead to rotten mouth of the Loach, white head and even death. Learning while doing, constantly summing up and adjusting, he finally came in handy, and the Loach was taken care of by him quite well.

In October 2015, he stepped up investment, bought another 150000 seedlings and built nylon nets around the pond to prevent natural predators. We also bought a set of equipment for measuring water temperature and water quality, which was tested every day, and the survival rate was increased to 70%.

Due to the adoption of ecological culture, the Loach raised by Li Geping is tender, nutritious and marketable. "each batch of Loach produces 1500 jin per mu, two batches a year, and the market price is 25 yuan per jin, which can earn more than 200,000 yuan a year. At present, the second batch of Loach has sold more than 1500 jin. " Li Geping made an account by the pond.

For villagers with breeding needs, Li Geping will give serious guidance in management, epidemic prevention and other aspects, and provide technical advice free of charge. Three surrounding villagers will raise Loach under Li Geping's guidance to drive surrounding farmers out of poverty.

"one person is not rich when he is rich, but everyone is rich when he is rich." Li Geping was very bright, and the little Loach freed up the "wave of getting rich."
