The circular shows that since the beginning of the flood season, the country's average precipitation has been 130 mm, 23% more than the usual year, ranking second since 1961, with northern Gansu, northwest Inner Mongolia and central Jilin more than twice as much. parts of Jiangnan, South China, Southwest, Northwest and Northeast are 30% to 100% more. Fourteen mobile heavy precipitation processes occurred successively in Jianghuai, Jiangnan, South China and Southwest China.
Under the influence of heavy rainfall, 118 rivers such as Xiangjiang River in Hunan Province, Ganjiang River in Jiangxi Province, Beijiang River in Guangdong Province, Guijiang River in Guangxi and Minjiang River in Fujian Province have experienced super-alarm floods, the most in the same period in the past five years. The amount of water coming from most of the rivers in the south is obviously on the high side, including 40% to 50% more in the Yangtze River, 60% and 80% in the Xiangjiang River and 80% in the Poyang Lake system, and 70% in the Xijiang River. At present, the water level of the Yangtze River, Huaihe River, Xijiang River, Taihu Lake and other rivers is 0.32 to 3.71 meters higher than usual, of which the mainstream of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, Poyang Lake and Dongting Lake are 2.49 to 3.26 meters higher, higher than the same period in 1998, but lower than the warning water level.
According to the forecast of the State General Administration of Prevention and Control, there is generally more precipitation in China during the flood season this year, and major floods may occur in the Yangtze River, Songhua River, Huaihe River and Xijiang River. the possibility of flooding in other major rivers is not ruled out, and severe drought may occur in North China and southeastern China.
