Porcupine arches open the door to get rich

In 2014, Yang Ruichao, who owns two excavators in Dongbao Village, Jinping Town, Jingdong County, Yunnan Province, learned from CCTV's "getting Rich Classic" that a farmer in another province had made a fortune by raising porcupine. In October of the same year, he made a special trip to the porcupine breeding base of Zhenyuan and Mojiang County to investigate and study, and confirmed the idea of leaving his old profession and raising porcupine. He went home and sold an excavator, built a porcupine enclosure of more than 1000 square meters, bought 110 groups of porcupine breeding pigs in March 2015, invested a total of more than 1.2 million yuan, and officially started porcupine breeding.

Walking into Yang Ruichao Jiahao pig pen, there are almost no spare time in more than 100 sheds. There are three cottages, one cottage occupied by one, and some mother and son living in the same house. The porcupine is polygamous, and the one with three heads in a house is one husband and two wives. Through a year of breeding, Yang Ruichao's porcupine has given birth to 100 pups, and there are still some porcupines waiting to give birth. According to Yang Ruichao, when he was studying porcupine breeding in Zhenyuan, he bought breeding pigs with the local porcupine boss and signed a recycling contract of 150 yuan per kilogram with the boss. The contract is still valid and will change with market price fluctuations in the future. Each commercial porcupine can grow to 14 to 16 kilograms, at 150 yuan per kilogram, a porcupine can be sold for about 2200 yuan, the average annual feed cost for each porcupine is about 200 yuan, and a net profit of 2000 yuan can be made. He is not going to sell commercial porcupines now, but some breeding pigs are ready for sale. According to Yang Ruichao's father, porcupine farming is very simple. Every day, he gets up early and cleans the enclosure, feeds some plantains and vegetables in the morning, and feeds some corn in the afternoon. The corn is washed with clean water and soaked. Porcupine does not eat much. It is not complicated and tiring to raise cattle and sheep.

Now, Yang Ruichao has mobilized the people around him to breed together. At present, he has set up a porcupine farming cooperative in Jin Ruichang, with six members. He plans to develop more farmers to join the cooperative to form large-scale farming. He wants to build a porcupine deep processing plant to make the porcupine farming industry bigger and stronger.
