In the past, Shenwan pineapple was indeed relatively small, because the previous planting technology and fertilizer were relatively backward, and the number of individual pineapples planted was relatively small, but now the pineapple grown by new planting technology and using compound fertilizer will be relatively large.

According to Uncle Hong, there is a legend that there is a wide spread, that is, the authentic Shenwan pineapple is only a few mu of land on the mountain of Shagang Village, which can not be bought at all. In fact, this is also a very old misunderstanding.

As early as the 1920s, the seedlings of what we now call Shenwan pineapple were brought back from abroad by Li Guohan, a returned overseas Chinese. At that time, he partnered with another returned overseas Chinese, Chen Xianggu, to plant more than 10 mu of Shenwan pineapple in the belly back of the old village at the southern foot of Yaji Mountain.

However, this does not mean that this more than ten mu of land is authentic. According to textual research, the delicious taste of Shenwan pineapple is closely related to the excellent varieties, followed by the valley effect surrounded by Yaji Mountain and Iron Furnace Mountain. In addition, close to the Xijiang Estuary has formed a very unique climate, which is just right with the cultivation of Shenwan pineapple, and only the pineapple planted in this area can really achieve the crisp and slag-free effect. Therefore, as long as the pineapples grown in this area are authentic Shenwan pineapples, we do not have to worry about not eating authentic Shenwan pineapples.
