Today, this fruit is also grown locally in Liuzhou. In Longshantun, Gangong Village, Tubo Town, Liujiang County, fruit grower Wei Yunshan planted hundreds of mu of blueberries and got a good harvest this year.

The location of Wei Yunshan's blueberry planting base is not special, just on one or two local hillsides. As soon as the reporter entered the orchard, a delicate fragrance came to the nostrils, and the full, dark blueberries hung all over the branches, looking particularly attractive against the green leaves.

At this moment, Wei Yunshan is busy picking ripe blueberries. He said that he was busy with more than a dozen workers early in the morning because the picked blueberries would enter some big supermarkets in Liuzhou in three hours.

Wei Yunshan told reporters that blueberry is known as the "fruit queen". Its fruit is fresh and juicy, sour and sweet. It not only tastes good, but also contains various trace elements needed by the human body. It has rich nutritional value and can be sold for one or two hundred yuan per kilogram on the market. Although it can bring good economic benefits, blueberries are rarely planted in Liuzhou and even Guangxi because of their high requirements on soil and climate.

As early as 2011, some people in Gangong village began to try to grow blueberries, but all failed. The "conclusion" of these villagers is that Liujiang County is not suitable for growing blueberries. For a while since then, it is true that no one here grows blueberries any more. However, Wei Yunshan believes that "no one has nothing" is a business opportunity. So he decided to give it a try.

It turned out that in 2012, Wei Yunshan spent two years looking for land everywhere, and finally found this more than 200 mu of hillside, which is more than 400 meters above sea level and the soil pH is about 4.8, which is very suitable for growing blueberries. This hillside used to be the land of a villager, only some miscellaneous trees were planted, and the benefit was very low. Wei Yunshan found the villager, but as soon as they heard that he was going to lease land to grow blueberries, they immediately rejected him, saying he was "crazy". Because some villagers have failed to try to grow blueberries a long time ago, how can he follow in their footsteps? But Wei Yunshan approached the villager three times, each time talking at the wine table, the first two times without success, and he was drunk. But Wei Yunshan still won't give up. A few days later, he went to the villager to talk about land lease. this time, he told the villager in detail many of his ideas and the analysis of the market survey, but the villager was so bored that he could not listen any more. Simply say: "you finish this glass of rice wine, I will promise you." Unexpectedly, Wei Yunshan, who was already 80 or 90% drunk, drank up the cup of "Tumaotai" in one sip. As a result, he was very drunk until the next afternoon, but the land lease was done.

With the land, Wei Yunshan invited a hook machine to clean up the hillside, and introduced 1000 blueberries from Zhejiang. But unexpectedly, a heavy rain one night washed all the blueberry seedlings planted by a dozen workers during the day to the bottom of the hillside. "I was almost devastated. Hundreds of thousands of yuan seemed to be gone, and all the money was collected by all my savings and friends and relatives." The next day, he begged the workers to find and replant the blueberry saplings that had rushed down the hillside, and he finally persuaded them.

In May 2013, several acres of blueberries planted on this hillside were hung for the first time, with an income of more than 100,000 yuan that year, which made Wei Yunshan very excited.

In order to expand the planting scale, Wei Yunshan began to set up professional cooperatives and tried to mobilize other villagers to join them to grow blueberries on a large scale. In order to reduce detours, while going north to the blueberry planting base in Jiangsu and Zhejiang to learn lessons, he also specially invited fruit agronomic experts to guide him on the spot, and with his own diligence, he finally found a way to grow blueberries.

Today, Wei Yunshan's cooperative has planted a total of 300 mu of blueberries, and six new varieties, including Lexi, Bixi, and Yuanlan, have been added from the original "Nangao". This year, the annual output will reach more than 10,000 kilograms and the income will reach more than 1 million yuan.

The second is to keep up with the management and protection technology, planting blueberries has relatively high requirements for the soil, in addition to the appropriate pH, fertilization is very important, it is best to apply farm manure, such as peanut bran and biological bacterial fertilizer, and use colored paper version pest control method, in order to ensure that the planted blueberries belong to green ecological pollution-free fruit.

As a result of the success of growing blueberries, Wei Yunshan became the local leader in getting rich. Today, Tubo Town, Liujiang County has taken the development of blueberry cultivation as an accurate industrial project to get rid of poverty, which has been vigorously implemented with the management model of "cooperative + base + peasant household". At present, the town's blueberry planting area of more than 900 mu, more than 500 mu has now matured on the market.
