1. Shading

Most of the pigs in rural areas are open-type pighouses. Before the arrival of high temperature, a temporary shed should be built in front of the house to prevent direct sunlight. Shed can also be built around the house, or vines such as grapes and pumpkins can be planted to cover the shed.

2. Adjust the diet structure

In midsummer, the energy feed in the diet should be relatively reduced, and green feed can be increased. The energy feed is 50~70% of the diet in peacetime, 40~50% in summer, and the green feed is increased from 0.5~ 1kg to 1~ 1.5kg. Feed should be fresh and hygienic without mildew.

3. Feeding pigs at night

Feeding time can be at 7:00 pm, 11:00 pm, 4:00 am, feeding 3 times a night, feeding 0.5% salt water and green juicy feed once at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm in the day, as long as the feeding is reasonable and meets the needs, about 50kg pigs, daily gain can also reach 0.5~0.75 kg.

4. Supply sufficient clean drinking water

Water is the best solvent and transportation tool for various nutrients, and the elimination of waste in the body is also operated by water. The pig's body water accounts for 1/3~1/2 of its weight. In summer, the daily drinking water consumption of pigs is 23.8% of its own, and 0.5% of saline can be drunk to regulate body temperature.
