"growing black peanuts is really better than growing other crops." Recently, Li Weijian, a villager from Lijiaping Village, Zhaozhuang Township, Lincheng County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, said that although he planted 8 mu of black peanuts last year, although he was affected by the dry weather, his net income was still more than 10,000 yuan, which is more cost-effective than growing corn, wheat and other crops.

Li Weijian said: in the past, peanuts were grown alone, not to mention the low output, the quality of peanuts was unstable, and the market was not guaranteed. Under the guidance of the Shijialan Branch of the Vocational Education Center, after joining the Guohua Black Peanut Professional Cooperative, the experts of the agricultural school served peanut varieties, technology, and sales throughout the process, and the quality and efficiency were also greatly improved.

Lijiaping is a mountain village with high soil fertility and good permeability, which is suitable for the growth of peanut cash crops. In order to improve the efficiency of peanut planting, Shijialan Middle School led Lijiaping villager Wang Tianqun to wait until Shandong learned to grow black peanuts and popularize them to nearby villagers. Later, cooperatives were set up to implement unified seed supply, unified management standards, and unified recycling, thus solving the problem of docking small-scale production with large markets. Last year, the cooperative achieved a total income of more than 3 million yuan. The per capita income of growers is 30% higher than that of local farmers.

Talking about future plans, Wang Tianqun said: this year, the cooperative plans to have more than 100 newly developed members, the number of households has increased to more than 500, the newly developed black peanut planting base has reached 5000 mu, and the high-quality black peanut planting base has grown to 12000 mu.
