Last Updated: 2024/11/22, Laixi farmer "Maiba" ancient farming method yielded 1500 jin per mu.

At present, it is the busy season for the mature harvest of wheat, and thousands of combine harvesters in the island city are about to start the summer harvest. Wang Zhitao, secretary of the party branch of Xinglongtun Village, Jiangshan Town, Laixi City, is particularly excited because his "ancient farming" experimental field will usher in the second year of high yield. Yesterday morning, the reporter saw in Wang Zhitao's 100 mu wheat experimental field that the wheat grains that were about to mature and harvest were in sight. Wang Zhitao began to try the "ancient farming" model three years ago, and a new "ecological cycle method of animal husbandry and agricultural planting" has been successful. Wheat has not only enhanced its ability to resist drought, but also its yield per mu has reached about 1500 jin. It has been praised by experts from the Ministry of Agriculture.

A bumper harvest is in sight in the high-yield experimental field.

"this is the high-yielding wheat experimental field, with a total area of nearly 100 mu, and its drought resistance and yield are second to none in Qingdao." Yesterday morning, 44-year-old Wang Zhitao pointed to a golden wheat field and said excitedly that this experimental field is a high-yield experimental project jointly carried out by the Laixi Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and him, under the guidance of relevant experts from Qingdao Agricultural University. after three years of experiments, preliminary success has been achieved, and yield stability tests are under way.

"you see, the grains of these wheat look fuller than those of ordinary wheat." Wang Zhitao rubbed out dozens of wheat grains with his hands and said that with the same number of wheat grains, the weight of wheat he experimented with was much higher than that of ordinary wheat. Last year, the 100 mu experimental wheat field, estimated by agricultural experts, the yield per mu has reached about 1500 jin, which has reached the peak level in the history of wheat planting in Qingdao. According to factors such as the average temperature and environmental changes this year, it is estimated that the yield of wheat per mu this year will reach more than 1400 jin, which is a little lower than that of last year, but this yield is already much higher than that of ordinary wheat.

"returning to the field through abdomen" increases organic matter

"the experiment on high-yielding wheat is actually a return to the original methods of farming of the ancients, asking for the quality of the land." Wang Zhitao said that in ancient times, crops were grown using organic fertilizers such as domestic animal manure, and the more than 400 dairy cows he raised produced organic fertilizer from crop orange stalks as feed every year, plus a small amount of modern chemical fertilizer. just enough to supply 100 mu of experimental fields.

"Organic fertilizer, deep ploughing to preserve soil moisture and the addition of wheat seeds are all indispensable." Wang Zhitao said that the organic fertilizer produced by dairy cows is called "returning to the field through the belly", and this kind of domestic fertilizer contains a kind of organic matter, which is exactly what is lacking in the land at present. This organic matter can make wheat grains denser and heavier. In the past, farmers were used to the depth of the same kind of cultivated land, resulting in a "hard lump" at the bottom of the soil layer, which was not conducive to the deep absorption of wheat roots, but also not conducive to soil moisture conservation. He uses the deep ploughing model to loosen the hard lumps in the soil layer for a long time, leaving a large amount of water in it. In dry weather, it can effectively preserve soil moisture, making wheat more drought-tolerant than ordinary crops.

"this method of circular farming will not only achieve ecological and environmental protection of grain in the future, but also enable more farmers to increase production and income." Wang Zhitao said.

"the wheat high-yield experiment has been carried out for three years, and the 100-mu experimental base in Xinglongtun Village has been affirmed by relevant experts of the State Ministry of Agriculture." According to the person in charge of the Laixi Agricultural Bureau, at present, the high-yield wheat in Xinglongtun Village is unique in Qingdao area, and Wang Zhitao is also known as "Maiba" by experts from Qingdao Agricultural University. This year, the high-yield test site led by the Ministry of Agriculture will also be located in Xinglongtun Village, and this kind of "ancient farming" cultivation is expected to be popularized throughout the country.

3.88 million mu of wheat in the city will be sickle.

At present, the summer wheat harvest in Qingdao has been carried out. According to a survey conducted by the Municipal Committee of Agriculture, the city plans to harvest a total area of 3.886 million mu in summer this year, and wheat has been harvested in some mountains and dry land, and summer planting is about to begin.

The municipal meteorological station issued a message to remind wheat farmers that it will be cloudy and sunny in Qingdao in the coming week. There were showers in some areas at night on the 7th and fog along the coast in the later period. The temperature is generally not high, with a maximum temperature of 20: 25 ℃ in urban and coastal areas, 21: 30 ℃ inland, and a minimum temperature of 15: 19 ℃ in the whole city. The south wind is dominated by a short-term north wind of magnitude 3-4. The meteorological conditions are favorable for wheat harvesting and drying, and the temperature and light conditions are conducive to sowing and emergence of summer corn, but the precipitation is insufficient, so it is necessary to prepare for sowing soil moisture.
