Since May 2015, the General Office of the Guangdong Provincial CPC Committee and the General Office of the Guangdong Provincial people's Government issued the opinions on supporting the accelerated Development of ethnic Minority areas (hereinafter referred to as "opinions"). As the milk source of one of the three ethnic minority autonomous counties in Guangdong Province, firmly seize the east wind, take advantage of the situation, turn various policies into the advantages of milk source development, the whole county will concentrate their efforts, be grateful and forge ahead, and pay close attention to implementation. The strategic pursuit of accelerating the development of ethnic minority areas has been integrated into the torrent of building a well-off society in an all-round way and synchronously, and major phased results have been achieved in promoting the development of the cause of ethnic minorities in Ruyuan.

Build Yao District Highway to solve the Travel problem

Some Yaozhai villages in Bibei Town, Youxi Town, and Dongping Town in this county are distributed in high mountains at an altitude of 800 to 1000 meters above sea level. Yao compatriots ploughing mountains and planting trees have to cross mountains and mountains, and buy oil, salt and fertilizer to cross valleys and gorges. Some villages are 40 or 50 kilometers away from the county seat, and it takes Yao compatriots more than half a day to make a round trip to the county seat, seriously affecting the production and life of Yao compatriots and hindering the local economic development.

In order to change the current situation of traffic difficulties in Yao Township, the county actively strives for higher-level traffic infrastructure construction projects in accordance with the requirements of strengthening the construction of transportation, water conservancy, and urban and rural public infrastructure in Yao Township. We will vigorously improve the traffic situation in ethnic minority areas and give priority to the hardening of roads in ethnic minority areas. Five new highways in Yao district are planned. Up to now, roadbed works have been opened in the sections from Daliaokeng to Jinzhufeng and from county seat to Wukeng, field survey has been completed in the section from Gongkeng to Laoyou Creek, and field survey is being carried out between Gongkengwei and Dacun. The section from county seat to Wukeng is ready to bid for road hardening. The construction of roads in Yao District will greatly improve the travel difficulties of Yao compatriots.

Construction and resettlement of new villages to improve living conditions

In recent years, the Ruyuan county party committee and the county government have paid great attention to the transformation of rural houses, especially to the housing reconstruction of poor families, and invested a lot of human, material and financial resources to build new villages and new houses to improve the housing conditions of farmers. In the past three years, more than 1000 households in villages without production and living conditions have been renovated and built in alpine limestone mountain areas and Yao areas. a total of more than 20, 000 people have lived in new houses and made a new life.

In order to improve the reconstruction quality of the poor, especially the poor households of the Yao nationality, expand the channels of production, broaden the access to employment, and improve the quality of life, the county has long-term planning, high starting point, high standards and multi-levels. in all directions, a provincial new rural demonstration film of Wucai Yao Township has been built between the areas of Rucheng Town, Dongping Town, Yiliu Town, Youxi Town and Guitou Town in the county. More than 1.5 billion yuan was invested to build 62 projects. One of the key projects is the "two do not have" village relocation and resettlement project, which mainly relocates the Yao people who live in Yaozhai in deep mountains who do not have the production and living conditions. In 2015, a total of 14.38 million yuan was invested to renovate the housing of 719 low-income families in poverty. The relocation and resettlement of 3713 people from 1047 households is being carried out in an orderly manner, and the resettlement of new villages is also being accelerated.

Developing characteristic industries to boost farmers' income

The "opinion" proposes to strengthen characteristic industries, vigorously develop characteristic agriculture and forestry, eco-cultural tourism, and characteristic industries, and strengthen the protection of the ecological environment. According to the actual conditions of the county, the Ruyuan county party committee and county government actively applied for policy support projects, such as the central finance agricultural technology extension project-the intelligent greenhouse and Internet of things technology application project in Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County in 2015; reported the 2015 soil testing formula fertilization subsidy project to the Provincial Agriculture Department and the Finance Department; declared the 2015 cultivated land protection and quality improvement central subsidy fund project, and received corresponding financial support respectively.

Combined with the reality of various villages and towns in the county, the county has made great efforts to develop vegetable, tea and other planting bases. Such as the introduction of Jiannong Company and Luyao Company to plant pollution-free, green vegetable bases of 5000 mu and 1000 mu in Bridge and 16th Development, and Huayao Company to develop tea planting base of 500mu in Bibei and Luoyang, and Yao Township Tea Company to plant tea in Dongping. Guangzhou Jingxiutang (Pharmaceutical) Co., Ltd. Luoyang Jiujie Tea Base 3000 mu; Yellow Tobacco Base 8000 mu, mainly distributed in Daqiao, Daocheng and Yiliu Town. In March this year, the agricultural bureau of the county issued a policy to support the fruit industry to vigorously develop the fruit industry. At present, the fruit planting area has increased by 14124.5 mu. Among them, the large-scale orchard base is 8750 mu.

In the process of industrial development, the county integrates various agriculture-related funds, improves the utilization rate of cultivated land, woodland and mountainous areas, promotes agricultural efficiency, drives farmers' income, ensures financial resources to increase income, and vigorously promotes the development of ethnic minority areas.
