Many years ago, Chen Quanyong, the "king of Ganoderma lucidum" mentioned in Lu'an, was almost unknown to everyone, and his edible strain factory and Golden Land Agricultural Popularization demonstration Park were also praised with great delight.

When it comes to Chen Quanyong's story, we have to start from 1984. Chen Quanyong, 15 or 16, walked out of school and started his life choice prematurely. Looking back on history, decades of big pot rice has brought nothing but poverty and backwardness to the old areas, and the hardships of life have left a deep impression on Chen Quanyong's young mind. Once, when he read in the newspaper that the development of edible fungi had great benefits, he came up with an idea to develop edible fungi, which might help his parents bit by bit or change the lives of their neighbors. His idea failed to get the support of his parents, but his inner desire made him ignore the opposition of his family and quietly took out 80 yuan from his family to buy pigs to go out to study. During the day he went to the fields with his parents, and at night he bought books, materials and bacteria after catching Loach and selling money. He began to fail again and again, but it didn't discourage him. March 30, 1985 is the happiest day in Chen Quanyong's life. When he picked a basket of fresh mushrooms from under the bed, he proudly announced to his parents that he had succeeded. He said this was science! The joy of success added to Chen Quanyong's confidence that he wanted to set up his own strain factory. At that time, the mayor of Sanpu Town lent him 200 yuan from the credit union, and he used the money to buy some entrepreneurial possessions. Chen Quanyong, who has suffered from failures and setbacks, knows very well that mushroom culture is a science. In marching into the field of edible fungi, Chen Quanyong forgot to eat and sleep to learn culture and technology, and traveled all over the country to visit famous teachers and consult experts and scholars. It is this unremitting efforts that have yielded fruitful results. He successfully cultivated Pleurotus ostreatus, Pleurotus ostreatus, Auricularia auricula, Tremella fuciformis, bamboo shoot and hericium Erinaceus. The extra-large Pleurotus ostreatus cultivated by the new soil covering technology has a single clump weight of 23.75, which is a strain with high quality and high yield. He adopted nutritional simulation and sexual cross breeding to increase the yield of Gastrodia elata in Dabie Mountains by more than 30%. Chen Quanyong collected wild Ganoderma lucidum from Tiantang Village in Jinzhai County. after hundreds of experiments on the humidity, light and nutrition formula of the mother species of Ganoderma lucidum, Chen Quanyong invented the field cover cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum in the Dabie Mountains, with bright color, thick meat and good quality. it ranks first among all kinds of Ganoderma lucidum. Ganoderma lucidum in the Dabie Mountains occupies almost all the domestic Ganoderma lucidum market. In October 1991, he was invited to attend the Beijing International Ganoderma lucidum Symposium. At the meeting, his paper "preliminary report on domestication and cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum in the Dabie Mountains" was highly appraised by more than 140 experts at home and abroad, and won the International Special Award for papers on Wild domestication and cultivation of Ganoderma lucidum. Ganoderma lucidum in the Dabie Mountains caused a stir at the exhibition, and immediately companies from Hong Kong, Japan and other countries asked for cooperation. Jeff Charlton of the United States repeatedly praised it and decided to underwrite it. Now Ganoderma lucidum in the Dabie Mountains enjoys a high international reputation, so Chen Quanyong has won the laudatory name of "Ganoderma lucidum King" in the Dabie Mountains.

In early 2000, Chen Quanyong selected a barren hill with more than 300 mu of land in the village to start his own "golden land" cause. In 2001, he stumbled upon the technology of space breeding and sprouted the idea of aviation breeding. In April 2003, when he heard that China's self-developed manned spaceship was about to lift off, he was excited to go back and forth between Beijing and Anhui to contact aviation breeding. Since then, Chen Quanyong devoted himself to the cause of aviation breeding. he broke the traditional breeding mode and carried out the selection of parents in spaceflight. by means of hybridization, he successively selected and bred more than 70 new varieties of space tomato with the advanced level in China. 12 new varieties of space pepper, 1 sweet waxy corn, and many new vegetable varieties such as space strawberry, space raspberry, space cowpea and so on. There are more than 100 varieties in total. Among them, 18 new varieties have been approved at the provincial level. These seedlings have been exported to Russia, France, South Korea, Singapore and other places. Today, the Golden Land Agricultural Science Popularization demonstration Park has become a large professional space vegetable breeding base in China, and has registered the trademarks of "Aeronautical Education" and "Oberi".

In order to repay the society, Chen Quanyong set up a training course on edible fungi, which has always been Chen Quanyong's wish to drive more farmers to get rich through science and technology. He has been running training courses since 1987. A total of more than 50,000 agricultural technicians have been trained, with trainees in 27 provinces and cities across the country. In the face of the enthusiasm of the students, he gave a profound and simple lecture in the theory class and a detailed guidance in the practice class, so that each student could figure it out. After the student went back, he also followed up the service and gave regular technical guidance. Now he has students all over the world and has trained more than 50,000 edible mushroom talents. Chen Quanyong also used funds to build gravel roads for his hometown, and jointly with Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences to set up an "Anhui Agricultural Bookstore" in Hefei, the provincial capital, to guide farmers to study science and applied science. In 2002, Anhui people's Radio jointly held the "Golden Land Cup". My award-winning essay campaign encourages those farmers who use science and technology to get rich. Chen Quanyong did not meet everything in front of him and took time out of his busy schedule to study in the Academy of Life Sciences of Anhui University for three years. The park has introduced more than 500 new varieties at home and abroad, organic ecological soilless cultivation and seedless watermelon grafting and other 12 technologies, and put into production demonstration in the agricultural park. In order to use the new technology of high-tech breeding in modern agriculture, Chen Quanyong also set up a plant gene seedling breeding laboratory, which obtained the support of the national aerospace department through various efforts, so that his new variety was successfully launched many times on board satellites and established a modern temperature control greenhouse, and took the lead in setting up a large-scale professional aerospace breeding demonstration and experiment base in our country. At the national press conference on golden land space breeding new varieties, nearly 150 space breeding were approved to be listed and promoted. Today, achievements and honors have not gone to Chen Quanyong's head, and he will continue to climb along the road of science and technology and make greater achievements in agricultural high and new technology.
