Born into a poor peasant family, Liu Jinxiu studied for only five years and began to earn a living by going out to work at the age of 13. After more than ten years of hard work, Liu Jinxiu has accumulated rich knowledge and experience. After careful consideration, she finally chose her mother's Luotian's unique advantage in natural resources and decided to turn waste into treasure and develop the aquaculture industry.

In September 2007, Liu Jinxiu, together with five local sheep farmers, registered with the County Bureau of Industry and Commerce to establish the "Jinxiu Forest Animal Husbandry Professional Cooperative of Luotian County" with a registered capital of 1.5 million yuan. The cooperative tries its best to build the largest goat industrialization base in eastern Hubei. In just a few years, the cooperative was awarded the titles of "the top five professional cooperatives in the province" and "the scientific research base of the national mutton sheep industry technology system".

Liu Jinxiu said that people in their hometown make a living by raising black goats, which is not only a rich mine of wealth, but also can be connected with the production activities of the common people, driving them to shake off poverty and become rich.

The cooperative also established Hubei's first beef and mutton industrialization base integrating slaughtering, processing, and sales, radiating Henan, Anhui, and Hubei provinces, leading 7726 farmers to raise sheep to shake off poverty and become rich.

Liu Jinxiu said that the whole body of a sheep is a treasure, and after finishing, the value of a sheep can be quadrupled. If a couple raise 100 sheep, they can earn 80, 000 to 100000 yuan a year. Farmers who have raised cattle and sheep for more than three years, including some disabled farmers, have been lifted out of poverty and become rich households.
