Post-90s college students return to their hometown to become "swineherds"

Lead the villagers on the road to becoming rich

In the spring tide of returning home to start a business, there are not only migrant workers but also college students, civil servants and other talents. Yu Yu, a post-90s college student, gave up his job as a non-local civil servant and returned to his hometown to become a farmer, starting pig farming and fruit cultivation. Over the past two years, he has set up agricultural companies and family farms, which has not only realized his entrepreneurial dream, but also led the villagers to increase their income and become rich.

Not being a civil servant as a "swineherd" post-90s college students return to their hometown to pursue their dreams.

Today, Yu Yu is the founder of Hongzhi Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd., Pengxi County. Recently, the reporter saw Yu Yu at Hongzhi Farm in Guoliuxi Village, Gaoping Town, Pengxi County. He was tall and strong, and his skin was tanned by the sun. In Yu Yu's orchard, after checking the condition of Cuiguan pear, he entered a green watermelon field to "turn over" for watermelon. In another 20 days or so, both watermelons and Cuiguan pears will be on the market in large quantities. Yu Yu said that the fruit he grows has no trouble selling at all, and only 20 mu of watermelons on the market will bring him a net income of more than 60,000 yuan.

In June 2011, Yu Yu took part in the national unified examination after graduating from Sichuan Judicial Police College and was admitted to civil servants from other places. When I went home for the Spring Festival in 2013, I saw that the muddy path in the village had turned into a machine ploughing road, the earthen tile house had become a building, and the quality of life of the villagers had been greatly improved. However, when young adults go out to work for a long time, the village is basically full of old people and children, and there is not a decent industry in the village that can lead people to increase their income and become rich. Yu Yu decided that he should "do something for his hometown."

After consideration, Yu Yu decided to engage in pig farming. In April 2014, he rented more than 500mu of 5 and 7 groups of land in Guoliuxi Village, Gaoping Town, raised 3 million yuan to register Hongzhi Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd in Pengxi County, and established Hongzhi Farm, built pig houses and planted fruit trees, and devoted himself to the development of pigs and fruits. Today, after more than two years of development, Yu Yu's farm has produced 1100 pigs a year, with an annual output value of more than 3.5 million yuan.

Through active communication, the company also signed contracts with two local enterprises, Gao Jin and Nanjing University, and 95% of the live pigs were sold to Gaojin and Nanjing University. "in the second half of the year, we will buy a batch of sows that will give birth to more than 1800 pigs a year. In terms of fruit, I have now reintroduced Cuiguan pears of better quality, which will be more popular in the market." Yu Yu said.

He led the villagers to get rich and let them use clean energy.

"if you work for half a year and play for half a year, you can not only earn a salary but also take care of your family." Villager Uncle Li works in Yu Yu's orchard, pruning and hanging bags for fruit. He earns nearly 1400 yuan a month. Uncle Li praised Yu Yu's return to his hometown to start a business.

After the individual became rich, Yu Yu's farm absorbed surrounding farmers to develop fruit cultivation of about 300 mu, and provided free technical guidance to farmers; he also built a large biogas digester to provide gas for the daily life of more than 50 farmers around them, making them use clean energy. "by adopting the model of ecological circular agriculture, pig manure can not only ferment to produce biogas, but also can irrigate fruit trees with biogas slurry, which is really eco-pollution-free." Yu Yu said.

Yu Yu told reporters that his lover also opened an online shop on Taobao, and the fruits they planted were sold in large quantities inside and outside the province through the online store. "now we are just waiting for the department documents to be approved, and then I plan to carry out deep processing of pork products, such as making high-quality sausages and bacon, so as to make the industrial chain longer." When it comes to the company's future plans, Yu Yu shines in his eyes.
