Talking about his planting experience, Hao Zengping told reporters that the cultivation of kiwifruit began in 1996, but at that time many people in Laiwu had never seen kiwifruit, resulting in a backlog of products that rotted for several years in a row. "at that time, everyone did not recognize kiwifruit, and no one bought it at a very low price. Later, it was given away, but what could not be given away was rotten to the ground." Hao Zengping said.

After being frustrated, Hao Zengping did not give up his dream, but continued to experiment and improve until 2010, and finally succeeded. The improved kiwifruit is smaller, but tastes better and tastes even sweeter than those grown in the south.

Now, on the southernmost land of Hao Zengping's kiwifruit planting base, there are several rows of trees taller than other fruit trees. Hao Zengping told reporters that this is a decades-old kiwifruit tree that has witnessed the hardships of his planting career.

Teach planting techniques to villagers free of charge, set up cooperatives and lead villagers to get rich.

In 2013, Wang Fengdong of Langouya Village and Zhang Yidong and Zhao Decai of Daijiazhuang Village of Yangli Town came to Hao Zengping's house to learn kiwifruit planting techniques from him. Old Hao didn't say a word. from planting to management, all the skills were on him.

In April 2014, Laiwu City and many kiwifruit planting cooperatives were established, and Hao Zengping was elected president. At first, there were only six members near Daijiazhuang village. After two years of development, up to now, there have been more than 50 households in Sheng Baiyang Village, Sangke Village and other places, and the planting area of kiwifruit has reached more than 500 mu.

The peculiarity of kiwifruit in the planting base lies in its different varieties. Hongyang kiwifruit introduced by Hao Zengping is the offspring of Chinese kiwifruit variety red flesh kiwifruit. The characteristics of fruit storage resistance, high yield, rich nutrition and good taste have brought business opportunities to farmers.

Next to the office of Hao Zengping planting base, the reporter saw a lot of kiwifruit seedlings. Hao Zengping said that in addition to specializing in growing kiwifruit, he would also encourage cooperative members to sell by-products such as fruit tree seedlings and macaque peach tea to increase income.

In the office of the cooperative, a "pollution-free agricultural product certificate" issued by the Ministry of Agriculture is particularly eye-catching.

Hao Zengping said that because of the particularity of its varieties and fewer diseases and insect pests, the kiwifruit trees in the base have never been treated with pesticides since they were introduced and planted, and the fertilizers applied are all organic fertilizers.

Since the establishment of the cooperative, the cooperative has organized activities such as kiwifruit picking festivals every September during the kiwifruit ripening season. Hao Zengping's cooperative, located at the junction of Laiwu and Taian, attracts citizens from Taian, Jinan and other places to pick and buy.

In September last year, Jinan held the second Laiwu Special products Expo in Quancheng Square, and the kiwifruit products of the cooperative were welcomed by the people of Jinan and became famous at once. At the exhibition, the kiwifruit brought by Hao Zengping was quickly sold out, attracting the attention of businessmen in Jinan, Beijing and other places.

Hao Zengping told reporters that at present, cooperatives are planning to take the e-commerce platform, online and offline simultaneous sales, for members to get rich and increase channels.
