Mayor Lin Zhijian and Zheng Gengya, director general of Hsinchu City God Temple, prefaced the lantern art exhibition, which lasted until March 23. Mayor Lin Zhijian highly praised the City God Temple as an important city for inheriting religious culture under the leadership of Director-General Zheng Gengya. He invited everyone to experience this fine traditional religious custom at the Lantern Festival, as well as the profound history and culture of Hsinchu City.

There are many lanterns created with the theme of pigs at the City God Temple, which combine creative ideas with traditional folk customs. this year, a total of 291 lanterns participated in the exhibition, surpassing the scale of last year, and the exhibition will last until March 23. Mayor Lin Zhijian said that apart from praying to the Duke of the City God for national prosperity, favorable weather, prosperity of the city, and peace and happiness of the citizens, he especially prayed for protection of rain and rain from the bamboo city to avoid the crisis of water shortage.
