Contracting 180 mu pomelo garden to earn millions annually

One morning more than ten years ago, Wang Minggen, a farmer in Ji 'an County, rode an old-fashioned motorcycle with two baskets hanging on it. He rushed to the barren hills of Baishui Reclamation Farm in Jishui County, bought golden Jinggang pomelo at the price of 5 cents each, and then went to the pedestrian street of Ji' an City to sell pomelo along the street.

In 2004, hawker Lao Wang turned into a farmer. He contracted more than 30 mu of pomelo garden almost abandoned in Baishui Town reclamation farm in one breath, becoming the famous "Pomelo King". At present, there are 1031 Jinggang pomelo trees here, with an annual output of more than 300,000 jin, and Lao Wang's annual net income is as high as more than one million yuan.

This year, Lao Wang contracted 150 mu of land and planted more than 3000 Jinggang pomelo in Zhiyang Township, Ji 'an County, his hometown.

Lao Wang, who lived a good life, did not forget his roots and roots. In recent years, under his planting technical guidance, farmers in Jishui County, Ji 'an County and other places, especially some poor households, have begun to plant Jinggang pomelo in an appropriate amount.

Xiao Zhenghui, 35, and his wife are disabled. In 2013, Xiao Zhenghui applied for a guaranteed loan of 100,000 yuan to plant Jinggang pomelo and Kirin melon. "I now earn 20,000 yuan a year as a base manager, and my wife earns 20,000 to 30,000 yuan a year working in the county industrial park. Together with the 40,000 to 50,000 yuan from selling Kirin melons, my family's annual income is nearly 100,000 yuan." Xiao Zhenghui said happily.
