Ordinary Lentinus edodes paves the way to get rich
A few days ago, at the planting base of Dawashan Edible Mushroom Professional Cooperative in Daping Village, Yongsheng Township, Jinkou River District, Wang Xiang, a migrant worker who returned home, was observing the growth of Lentinus edodes. One after another, light brown mushrooms grew on the stick like small umbrellas, and the fresh and tender mushrooms were tightly surrounded, growing very gratifying. Four years ago, Wang Xiang, a migrant worker, found that the climatic conditions in Daping Village were very suitable for the growth of Lentinus edodes, so he introduced the owners to set up a professional cooperative for edible mushrooms in Dawashan, and he became a member of the cooperative.
"A few years ago, I helped people grow mushrooms outside, and their monthly salary was only NT $2,000 to NT $3,000. Life was very hard. Now I have planted more than 10 mu of mushrooms in Daping Village, and the income is very good. " Wang Xiang said that under his careful care, the planting base grew day by day, more and more people bought mushrooms and their pockets grew bigger and bigger.
"whether you are rich or not, if the villagers are rich and lead a good life, then they will be really rich." Wang Xiang encouraged local villagers to join cooperatives in the form of land ownership, and implemented a "four-unified and two-point" mechanism of unified seed supply, unified production of bacterial sticks, unified technical guidance, unified transport and sales, household production management, and household settlement, thus forming an effective management model of "company + peasant household".
"after joining the co-operative, the living conditions have improved and the life is getting better and better." Wang Chuanqing, 76, is one of the members of the cooperative and a local accurate poverty alleviation family. the three members of his family are disabled, so the cooperative allows him to buy shares with contracted land and give priority to him to work in the cooperative, so that the shiitake mushroom shed will become a stable source of living for his family.
It is understood that since the establishment of the Dawashan Edible Mushroom Professional Cooperative in 2014, the planting area has increased from 40 mu to more than 100 mu now, with an annual output value of more than 4 million yuan and a net income of 1.8 million yuan, which has solved the employment of more than 100 surplus rural laborers and led 110 farmers to shake off poverty and become rich.
"since its establishment, 30 households in the village have joined the cooperative." Zhang Fengkui, a branch secretary of Daping Village, said that all the accurate poor families in the village joined the cooperative in 2016, increasing the income of villagers in need. In the next step, cooperatives will continue to increase investment, in addition to the existing black shiitake mushrooms, Tremella fuciformis, fungus, etc., will also supplement other varieties suitable for planting, through industrial restructuring, to promote villagers to increase income and become rich according to local conditions.
