Ma Qiang said that he raised 100 red deer, at present is the first crop antler harvest, an adult male red deer a year can cut antler 10~15 kg, the first crop can cut 10~12 kg, the second crop can cut 2~3 kg. According to the current market price of more than 1000 yuan per kilogram of antler, after deducting the feeding cost, each male deer can earn about 5000 yuan per year on average. The first crop of antler can benefit more than 100,000 yuan.

In 2014, Ma Qiang accidentally saw a TV program about the good benefits of raising red deer, strong adaptability to the environment and low risk of infection.

With the courage to think and dare to do, Ma Qiang spent 180,000 yuan to buy 10 red deer, and transformed the idle land in his courtyard into a breeding pen to start breeding red deer. After half a year of experimental breeding, Ma Qiang made up his mind to breed a large number of red deer, so he introduced 86 red deer. The deer herd is dominated by male deer, mainly used for producing antler. Part of the female deer is mainly used for reproduction. The life span of a red deer is 20 years, and the age of harvesting antler is about 15 years.
