Xingning Huangpi Zhangkeng villager Tong Xiulan, nearly 40 kilometers away from Xingning City, operates an ecological breeding family farm based on special wild boar farming, which is the first certified family farm in Xingning. In 2008, Tong Xiulan went home with more than 100,000 yuan and started her own way of raising pigs to get rich, but she was exhausted by the unsalable pork in 2011. Tong Xiulan, a "back-to-back war", ushered in a turnaround in 2012, when her pork sales of one million jin fell short of demand and was named the "pork champion". In 2013, she prepared to set up an ecological pig-raising cooperative and develop agricultural eco-tourism projects. In 2003, Tong Xiulan persuaded her husband to borrow money to raise fish ponds. Unexpectedly, a heavy rain washed away the fish ponds and washed away the livelihood of the family. The couple wanted to cry without tears, so they had no choice but to work in Shenzhen and saved 100000 yuan to return to their hometown to start a business again. In 2008, Tong Xiulan started her own way of raising pigs, and by chance, she learned the "secret recipe" of the second generation of black-skinned wild boars. Unexpectedly, when she came out of the hurdle at the end of 2011, she encountered unsalable sales. Tong Xiulan was under a lot of pressure and jumped into the river. Fortunately, she was rescued. After surviving the disaster, she changed her way of thinking, opened up the market with the help of many parties, and also brought the result of annual sales of millions. She was temporarily named the "pork champion" with boundless scenery.
In another interview, Tong Xiulan talked about the ups and downs of her life again. In 2014, due to a lack of understanding of the operation of the market and the management of customer relations, Tong Xiulan's family farm cooperative merchants decreased again and again, adding frost to the tiles in the environment where pork prices were plummeting, resulting in unsalable pork, resulting in heavy losses. But this time, instead of committing suicide, Tong Xiulan constantly summed up her experience and modestly learned from local agricultural experts and experienced market merchants, and soon adjusted from failure and returned to the track of normal operation. Although there are still ups and downs, but stick to it all the way, starting a business in the blink of an eye has been 8 years. Today, Tong Xiulan has a complete industrial chain, set up her own breeding company, and the whole family coordinates and cooperates to form an one-stop model from feeding to sales.
After the twists and turns, Tong Xiulan added a new breed-Little Xiang Pig, which is a miniature pig breed, with the characteristics of lean meat, fine fiber, small fat particles, rich aroma, precocious and easy reproduction, and rarely weighs more than 30 kilograms. She said that on the one hand, the newly added Xiang Pig is that the pork of this breed is more tender and slippery, tastes better, and the skin is crisp and thinner. On the other hand, it is because the original stocking mode of a large number of wild boars running all over the mountain is easy to cause some damage to the crops of nearby villagers. "at present, there are mainly four kinds of pigs on my farm, including 50% of the young Xiang pig, 20% of the wild boar second generation and 20% of the hybrid pig, and the rest are native pigs." However, due to the high cost of this new breed, the price is more expensive than other kinds of pork and no one knows about this kind of small fragrant pigs, sales have not yet been fully opened, Tong said.
Tong Xiulan's ecological farming family farm has been successfully certified in 2013. Now there are about 1200 pigs on the mountain, more than 2500 mu of the mountain, worth no less than 5 million yuan. At present, she is preparing to attract investment and partnership, set up agricultural eco-tourism projects, and develop rural tourism. Tong Xiulan hopes to develop in many ways, not only to promote her own authentic pork, but more importantly, to make greater contributions to her hometown.
As a seller of conscience, Tong Xiulan admitted that many foods on the market are unhygienic. "I don't expect my industry to be brilliant, and I don't want to earn too much, but I will try to make sure that people can eat fresh and healthy pork at the dinner table and feel their conscience to ensure the safe source of food." This is also the principle that she has adhered to for many years. It is expected that during the National Day Golden week this year, she will open an experience shop in Yide City, Xingning, so that everyone can taste the characteristic fresh pork for free. She hopes to expand the industry and drive the villagers around them to work together and develop together to form a unique new industrial model and promote the prosperity and development of their hometown.
