It was awarded the Star of Excellent Youth Entrepreneurship in Yangzhou City. Pioneering--Founding Jiangdu's First College Student Village Official Family Farm

In June 2013, Sun Licheng founded Dingrong Family Farm in Jiangdu District, the first university student village official family farm integrating grain planting and aquaculture in Jiangdu District. The farm has a total grain area of 80 mu, aquaculture area of 43 mu. He said: "My hometown has always had crab and mandarin fish mixed breeding practice, and it is quite profitable." There are very few people here who cultivate crabs, and no one has ever cultivated crabs and mandarin fish together. I want to explore a way for everyone and serve as an example."

At present, the overall planning of the family farm is river crab breeding, and at the same time, mandarin fish is interbred; the land is currently planted with wheat and rice, and 300,000 yuan has been invested. It is expected that the second phase of expansion investment will be carried out by the end of the year, fishing center will be established, flowers and trees will be planted around the river pond, and about 10 mu of land will be transferred for greenhouse vegetable and fruit planting, with an estimated investment of about 300,000 yuan. In 2013, the total cost of river crab breeding of this project was RMB 106,700 Yuan, the sales volume was RMB 160,000 Yuan, and the profit of that year was about RMB 50,000 Yuan; in 2014, the total cost of river crab breeding was RMB 109,200 Yuan, the sales volume was RMB 290,000 Yuan, and the profit of that year was about RMB 80,000 Yuan; in 2015, the total cost of river crab breeding was RMB 102,500 Yuan, the sales volume was RMB 250,000 Yuan, and the profit of that year was about RMB 90,000 Yuan; the total annual income of grain planting was about RMB 2500 Yuan/mu, the cost was about RMB 1500 Yuan/mu, and the profit was about RMB 80,000 Yuan. At the same time, the farm helps 3 fixed villagers to obtain employment every year, and uses many scattered workers, which not only increases the collective income of the village, but also drives the employment of many farmers.

In 2014, Sun Licheng learned that in recent years, due to the abuse of pesticides, fertilizers and other industrial and agricultural "three wastes" pollution to the environment, leeches have few sources, and wild leeches alone cannot meet the needs of the pharmaceutical industry. Artificial leech breeding has great prospects for development. Therefore, he went to Yancheng, Gaoyou and Baoying for many times to conduct in-depth field investigation and study and learn leech breeding technology. Through market analysis and benefit demonstration, in July 2014, he raised funds from various sources and decisively invested 200,000 yuan to build the first phase project of 400 square meters of leech breeding pond. He said: "oneself recognize things must do, to do, must do well." During the construction of the project, he rarely went home, devoted himself to the construction site, not afraid of the sun exposure, regardless of mosquito bites. Some people worried that he was "thin skin and tender flesh, a scholar, unable to bear this hardship", however, he dispelled people's doubts with practical actions and won the praise of the masses.

In April 2015, he invested another 900,000 yuan to expand the leech breeding pond area to 3000 square meters. The farm also drives 5 fixed farmers to obtain employment, and at the same time, feeding and maintenance are carried out every leech breeding season; after breeding, fishing and drying require a large amount of labor force, which not only drives farmers to obtain employment, but also increases family income.

Under his demonstration and guidance, at present, the number of local leech farmers has increased to 9, with a total area of nearly 200 mu. In 2015, the total output of the town is about 160,000 jin leech, and the total sales volume is about 15 million yuan. He hopes that through his own experience, he can help every household, continuously increase farmers 'income and drive villagers to become rich together.
