In front of this young man in his early 30s, with dark skin and a pair of black-rimmed glasses, he looks like an artist and is difficult to hook up with the "farmer". His name is Liu Xue. He is from Sichuan. He came out to start a business before finishing junior high school. Now, he is gathering lemons in his arms and "planting" his own way to get rich. Recently, the reporter interviewed him.

I didn't finish junior high school and started a business.

Liu Xue was born into an ordinary rural family in Guang'an, Sichuan Province. when he was a child, his family's poverty made him more sensible than his peers. he dropped out of junior high school and went home to help with farm work and take care of his seriously ill father. After his father died, in order to pay off his family debt and send his sister to school, he resolutely embarked on the arduous road of going south to work. At that time, he was not yet 15 years old.

"I didn't even finish junior high school. What can I do?" Liu Xue recalled that he came to a photography school in Shenzhen to study professional photography with thousands of yuan, and started a brief photography job, during which he met his current partner, Liu Zhong.

They have similar family experiences, and both came out to work at the age of 15. One day, Liu Xue said to Liu Zhong, "A lot of healthy and high-quality food comes from the countryside, so why not go back to the village to start an agricultural project."... " The two hit it off.

Just as their peers ran to the city, they returned to the countryside. In Liu Xue's view, there is always a special force in the countryside to attract him, and many post-80s and post-90s generation are reluctant to cultivate land, so the village has more potential to tap. Liu Xue's mother felt that after being a farmer all her life, her son was lucky to be able to walk out of the mountains and did not understand his choice. He told his mother that only by creating things that others despise and are unwilling to do, can he realize his dream and change his own destiny. Mother Liu acquiesced.

He realized the Lemon Dream.

After getting the understanding of his family, Liu Xue started his own career. After investigating around, he found that Huaiji County has unique natural advantages, and if you grow lemons, you will certainly have a future. "many Cantonese don't know much about lemons, and this blank market is exactly where the potential of the lemon market lies." In 2011, with a simple burden, he came to Huaiji County to contract a wasteland to grow lemons.

"when I came to Huaiji from Shenzhen, there was wasteland around my farm, and there was no village nearby, which was even more desolate at night. Living here alone, I feel very lonely. " But Liu Xue said that Dashu has never moved its nest all his life and has been baptized by wind, rain and lightning, but it is still full of branches and leaves. What a strong perseverance. It is the same with agricultural work. I believe that I will create a world.

Liu Xue said, "when lemons are planted, dreams begin." He studied planting techniques attentively, actively consulted technicians from the agricultural department of Huaiji County, and sometimes went to places all over the country to learn how to grow lemons.

In June of that year, Liu Xue planted lemons on 300 mu of open land. He built a farm according to the new agricultural standards and invested 2 million yuan in opening up wasteland, cultivating soil, building infrastructure, and so on. Liu Xue said: in the past few years, the work was heavy and boring, and it was not until the third year that the lemons began to bear fruit. Last year, the harvest was good, and this year we ushered in a bumper harvest.

In terms of sales, they sell lemons directly to consumers, avoiding intermediate wholesalers, and the quality of the fruit is also well received by customers. For many years in a row, he sent fruit samples to provincial authorities for testing, which met the standards of green food safety testing reports. "the next step will be to apply for organic food testing."

Looking at the lemon with a bumper harvest, Liu Xue's eyes showed confidence. "it is conservatively estimated that this year's net income is 1 million yuan." The next step will drive the surrounding farmers to expand the planting area and build a green food brand. " In Liu Xue's ideal, farmers should "live in a villa in the country, eat green food and breathe fresh air".
