On July 19, at the intersection of Xianbang Village, Shiling Town, Xingbin District, the papaya planting base covering an area of more than 220 mu attracted the attention of reporters. "this year is a bumper harvest year, and it is estimated that the income of papaya planting will be more than 800000 yuan." Deng Xiangxue, the local grower and person in charge of the base, happily introduced the situation to the reporter.

Deng Xiangxue's papaya planting base is the largest characteristic planting base in Shiling town, and it is also the local "star base". Through signing agreements with nearby enterprises, it realizes the combination of sales and production. Since its establishment last year, the base has absorbed more than 10 poor people and led the surrounding people to plant more than 100 mu of papayas and bananas.

"Poor households can earn 80 yuan a day when they work on the base, and there are dividends at the end of the year. The benefits are considerable, and everyone is full of energy." Deng Xiangxue told reporters that the next step is to connect nearby farmers and poor households more closely, expand the planting scale, achieve simultaneous growth of base benefits and growers' income, and drive more people to become rich through the development of industries.
