Zheng Peikun, 34, a native of Tashan Village, Dayou Town, Cengong County, is the owner of a large pig farm and the head of the "Cengong County Hefeng breeding Professional Cooperative". He is also a graduate student at Huazhong Agricultural University. When the graduate students returned to their hometown to work as swineherds, the local people did not understand it at first.

"I have an uncle who is a veterinary guard in the village. When I was a child, I used to follow him to give injections to the poultry in the village. When I saw that the sick poultry had been cured by my uncle, I felt that this profession was very noble." Zheng Peikun told me that at that time, farmers relied entirely on cattle farming, and their income depended on selling fattened pigs, chickens, ducks and other livestock. If farm cattle or pigs get sick and die, a family may become poor as a result. Since then, he wants to be a veterinarian like his uncle in the future. "when I saw that Zheng Peikun was so obsessed with veterinarians, I jokingly told him at that time that if you were admitted to college in the future, you should study veterinary medicine and come back to lead the villagers to develop farming and become rich." Zheng Peikun's uncle Zheng Erfen said he didn't expect his childhood joke to come true.

Zheng Peikun once worked in a foreign company and successfully started his own business in Daye, Hubei Province, with an annual income of more than 1 million yuan.

During the Spring Festival in 2012, Zheng Peikun went home with his wife and children to visit his parents. He found that most of the young adults in his hometown went out to work, and only the elderly and children stayed in the village, causing a lot of land to be abandoned. He felt a little sad and wanted to do something for his hometown. After thinking about it, my childhood dream came to mind, yes, to develop breeding in my hometown, to drive the villagers to become rich, and to tell them not to go out to work.

Through inquiring and inspection around, Zheng Peikun found that the market for pig farming in his hometown is large, and the profit is high. In addition, the local party committee and government also attached great importance to the issue of young people returning to their hometown to start a business, so Zheng Peikun decided to return home to start a business and raise pigs.

Just after the Spring Festival, Zheng Peikun found several farmers in his village group and exchanged his idea of going home to start a business with them, which won everyone's support. Zheng Peikun immediately leased more than 20 mu of land in this village, began to build fence houses, and specially invited experts from the county animal husbandry bureau to carry out on-site planning and design. In March, he officially broke ground to build a standardized pig farm with an annual production of 5000 pigs.

In May 2013, the pig farm completed the infrastructure, but the funding has far exceeded the original budget. But Zheng Peikun did not bow to the difficulties. while applying for a loan to Dayou Credit Union, he began to arrange for the introduction of breeding pigs. in July of that year, he introduced 140 breeding pigs from Wuhan COFCO Group and applied to the county federation. Leaders of the county association and the local government were invited to investigate and guide the work of the breeding base. They were moved by Zheng Peikun's spirit of hard work, honesty and trustworthiness, and through the coordination of the local party committee and government. The county agency decided to lend Zheng Peikun 500000 yuan as working capital.

In June 2014, the first batch of live pigs began to be listed on the market, and the funds began to be returned. Zheng Peikun repaid the loan in time. After his entrepreneurial deeds were spread on the Internet, he was praised by netizens everywhere. In July 2015, the relevant leaders of Dafang County, Bijie City led breeders to his pig farm for inspection, and sincerely invited him to the local technical guidance. In 2012, when the road was to be built in the village, Zheng Peikun promised 10,000 yuan. Later, when the road began to be built, he immediately donated 10,000 yuan.

With the help of Zheng Peikun, Zheng Ersong now bakes his own wine and sells it while raising pigs.

"Zheng Peikun is a college student, skilled and honest, and everyone believes in him." Zheng Ersong said that he can now produce more than 40 fat pigs a year, with a net profit of more than 60,000 yuan. Plus selling wine, he can earn more than 100,000 yuan a year.

Like Zheng Ersong, who raise pigs at home are Wan Yujun of Taoshuwan Village and Xiang Jiaxiong, Deputy Secretary of Tashan Village. With the help of Zheng Peikun, they not only made money, but also built small houses.

With the support of party committees and governments at all levels and relevant units, in 2015, Zheng Peikun invested more than 5 million yuan to build a sow house with more than 600 square meters, two farrowing houses with more than 400 square meters, two nurseries with more than 500 square meters, five fattening houses with more than 1800 square meters, office accommodation of more than 300 square meters, and a feed processing workshop with more than 260 square meters, built an artificial insemination laboratory, a disease diagnosis room, and built a fish pond of 2 mu. A total of 2000 cubic meters of 3 storage tanks, 150 cubic meters of harmless treatment tanks for sick and dead pigs, 300 cubic meters of biogas digesters, and 2000 cubic meters of tertiary settling sewage treatment tanks, more than 3000 meters of sewers and pig farm water, electricity, road "three links" and other infrastructure construction.

In order to expand the scale of the farm and connect with the market, Zheng Peikun registered and established "Cengong County double Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Co., Ltd." in the County Bureau of Industry and Commerce. With the guarantee of the company and funds, Zheng Peikun decided to mobilize the local people to jointly take the road of "industrialization of ecological agriculture in mountainous areas" and engage in pig farming and characteristic cultivation.

In order to solve the worries of the masses, Zheng Peikun set up the "Cengong County Hefeng breeding Professional Cooperative" to fulfill his promise to the common people. Each poor household gave away more than 5 piglets free of charge and provided them with breeding technology and disease prevention data. and the pig breed that the company provides to the masses is improved more than 300 times a year, the direct economic benefit after the improvement is more than 30000 yuan, after the sewage is treated innocuously through biogas digester. Supply electricity to the masses for heating, use biogas slurry for pond fish culture or agricultural irrigation, and biogas dregs are used for fertilizers for crops, driving people to plant more than 300 mu of cash crops, such as pumpkins and pig farms, and the masses can earn more than 2000 yuan per mu. Each farmer can earn more than 6000 yuan directly. Every year, pig farms also provide more than 800 tons of biogas manure to the masses, improve more than 30 mu of land, directly benefit more than 10000 yuan, and solve the employment of more than 400 people.

This year, the town adopts the model of "company + cooperative + base + poor households". The state project poverty alleviation funds uniformly build enclosures and give them to poor families for use free of charge. Poor families participate in the shares with an accurate loan of 50, 000 yuan, and Zheng Peikun buys shares with 1 million yuan. And provide technical guidance.
