A few days ago, Xubao jujube, Beichen District, Tianjin, which was listed as the national geographical indication for agricultural products, entered the online crowdfunding platform and raised more than 6,000 yuan in three days. "this is due to the fact that the village support working group of the Municipal people's Congress has brought a new development concept to Xubao village-- let jujube enter the e-commerce platform, make it famous, attract more picking tourists, and lead jujube farmers to the road to prosperity." Li Peijun, secretary of the party branch of Xubao village, said.
Although Xubao jujube is a national geographical indication of agricultural products with high quality, the villagers have been using the traditional sales method for many years, resulting in the price of jujube not going up and the popularity is not high enough. Li Peijun said: "in the past, the sales model was to collect dates in the village through jujube merchants, but the price was always depressed, and the price of dates could not go up. Every year, they bought dates in the village through these jujube merchants. In this way, the popularity of jujube in our village has always been unable to get out."
Changing the traditional concept is the fundamental way to lead the villagers to get rich, so the village-based cadres pushed Xubao jujube onto the e-commerce platform, applying for crowdfunding for agricultural products on the one hand, and contacting Le Cun Amoy, the country's leading e-commerce platform for villages and towns, on the other hand, to cooperate to open up new channels for online and offline sales.
Xu Haijun, vice president of the business department of Le Cun Amoy characteristic Museum, told reporters: "the maturity of Xubao jujube is about 600 tons, and now the jujube is not yet mature, so there is still a pricing problem. If the price is right, we expect to sell about 100 tons. Our combination of'e-commerce + agriculture'is to connect the local good things to the outside, so that more people know that one is to promote the brand and the other is to promote the quality."
At present, with the maturity of Xubao jujube approaching, online crowdfunding is increasing day by day, and the pre-sale of dates from Le Cun is about to begin.
