In Guanyang County, there is a "cow man" who specializes in raising wild ducks and is famous in Shiliba Township. In mid-July 2016, the reporter went to Guanyang on a business trip and stopped by to have a look.

Driving to Yuxi Village, Wenshi Town, Guanyang County, people did not arrive at the duck farm, "Gaga."... " The cry came through my ears. Approaching the duck farm, I saw more than 20,000 mallard ducks, spotted-billed ducks and fragrant geese, chasing in the water under the net, bustling.

The host, Wen Qifu, is in his early 50s, with a straight waist and dark face. When it comes to the past and present life of raising wild ducks, Wen Qifu seems a little shy. Born in 1963, he was admitted to Guangxi Agricultural College in 1981. After graduating from an undergraduate course, he joined the army for 10 years and worked in an administrative unit in Guilin. Then he found his own job and won his first bucket of gold as a food agent.

Wen Qi-fu, who has a successful career, does not forget his original ideal and ambition: he majored in aquaculture when he was in college, while the folks who are at the poverty line need the skills to get rich, and they will certainly be able to make a difference.

After investigation, Wen Qifu took a fancy to the market potential of wild ducks. Since 2012, Wen Qifu, who was originally from Shuiche Township, Guanyang County, came to Yuxi Village, Wenshi Town, Guanyang County with all his family property and founded Guilin Haolife Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. The company spans three administrative villages of Qingtang, Yuxi and Yueling, with a total area of more than 2000 mu. The environment here is quiet, and the Shantang Reservoir has plenty of water, which is suitable for wild duck breeding.

At the beginning of breeding, Wen Qifu bought more than 3000 ducklings, but due to lack of relevant protective measures, more than 1000 ducklings flew away, which is a great pity. He, who is good at summing up experience, strengthened the perimeter filter and inspection net to prevent escape.

Wen Qifu said that raising wild ducks is a technical job, but the market potential is great. In addition to stocking, the use of corn, rice bran, bean germ, green powder and other feeding, the original ecological breeding, quite favored by the market. Mallard ducks can be put on the public dining table, feathers can also be used as cold-proof and warm materials, male mallard feathers can also be used as clothing and processing products. At present, Wen Qifu's natural duck farm produces 50,000 wild ducks a year, with considerable economic benefits.

In order to make full use of the site, Wen Qifu recommends raising cattle, building houses to raise pigs and raising fish in ponds.

At present, Wen Qifu's company has more than 20 managers and employs more than 80 regular workers, including 30 poor households. In order to help local villagers shake off poverty and become rich as soon as possible and realize the poverty alleviation model of "government + company + farmers", Wen Qifu provides preferential duck seedlings to villagers, provides technical services free of charge, and recycles them according to market prices.

Wen Qifu said: "the next step is to improve various infrastructure construction, grasp the group purchase platform, take the road of e-commerce development, and strive for an annual aquaculture output value of more than 100 million yuan."
