Luo Li was originally in the furniture business. As early as 2000, he built a factory in Zhaoquanying Town, Shunyi, mainly making solid wood tables and chairs, and rented a booth at Lan Jingli's house in Dazhong Temple, Haidian, for display and sales. After SARS in 2003, many people began to attach importance to outdoor sports, and outdoor home improvement also became popular. "At first, some clients from the villa area came to us and wanted to build a grape rack, a small pavilion, or a wooden stair handrail in the courtyard." Luo Li said that since then, they began to try to do some outdoor wood structure odd jobs according to customers 'needs, each business is also 1,800 yuan, and later as customers' demand increased, they shifted their focus from indoor solid wood tables and chairs to outdoor wood structures.

"Although it's all carpentry work, the requirements for wood indoors and outdoors are completely different, because wood used outdoors has to consider a series of requirements such as waterproofing and corrosion resistance." Luo Li said that when he first did outdoor home improvement, he was not so smooth. He ran around the country to find materials and learn experience. Fortunately, some experiences were interlinked, and soon his outdoor home improvement business was on the right track.

When Luo Li turned his main business to outdoor wood structure, Beijing's outdoor home improvement market was just emerging, so Luo Li seized the industry opportunity. With the continuous development and gradual maturity of the market, more and more people are engaged in the outdoor timber industry, and there are hundreds of them in the Beijing market alone. Especially after the 2008 Olympic Games, the market is becoming more and more mature, and major universities have also opened landscape design majors, and many professionals have emerged, and the competition is becoming more and more fierce. However, because Luo Li dabbled in this line early, so accumulated a lot of popularity and reputation in the line, many people are still willing to find him to do work.

Company set-up suffers setbacks

As he accumulated more and more experience in this line, Luo Ligan's projects became larger and larger. After the Olympic Games, Luo Li and Xu Ming, who operated the booth in Lanjingli's home market, formed a family and registered to establish Shuntian Liye Trading Co., Ltd., starting a new journey for the couple to start a business.

"Setting up a company is also a business necessity." Luo Li said that after the 2008 Olympic Games, the orders he received have gradually expanded from the original scattered work to independent construction of cabins and undertaking garden projects, because it is necessary to provide qualifications to undertake these businesses, and it is imperative to register a company. "I thought that after the establishment of the company, the business of the two people would grow bigger and bigger, but I didn't expect to be reduced to the dilemma of only 3.7 yuan left in my pocket." Xu Ming said that Luo Li was in charge of the company's management. Because she had little business contact before, she was purely a layman management expert, and she spent a lot of money, which made it difficult for the company to continue. Fortunately, she "lost her way" and then personally helped the company turn the corner.

After hitting the wall, Xu Ming learned financial management, learned business negotiation, and also understood the old saying that "power is not for wealth". With her hard work, the company's business gradually reopened. Shuntian Liye Trading Co., Ltd. contracted the construction of many cabins and bus stops in the suburbs, and even participated in the outdoor timber structure engineering of APEC sites.

"Our company's reputation in the industry in Beijing is still very good. Our online ranking is also very high." Xu Ming said that every project, she took it as her own face to do, no matter how much the price, will do her best, so as to have quality assurance. With quality assurance, the company will bring more customers. Many of their current business relationships are old customers introducing new customers, slowly accumulating bit by bit.

But Xu Ming had a headache when he looked at the mountain called "Shilazi" by the locals. How could he build a cabin in such a place?

In fact, Luo Li, who had many years of design experience, had already drawn the blueprint in his heart, and his ideas were one step further than Xu Ming's. "We have limited space inside the company, after all, and it might be more convincing if there was a real-life version of the cabin for customers to visit." As soon as they did, they began to hire big machinery to clear rocks and dig foundations. From May last year to August, it took three months to build a two-story cabin. "It looks like two layers from the outside, but there are actually four layers inside." In the process of building the cabin, Luo Li will give full play to his own design talents, so that the visitors who stay in get a unique experience. Behind the cabin, Luo Li made use of natural geographical conditions to create an artificial lake surface, and named the resort "Naxi Tribe". The interior decoration was also based on fresh and romantic pastoral style. The unique landscape of Naxi tribe attracts many tourists 'attention due to its proximity to mountains, water and cabins. Rooms were full almost every weekend from its opening in August to its closure in October.

Dare to innovate and lead the way

In fact, compared with building cabins, running folk tourism is not Luo Li and Xu Ming's strong point, but they are good at inviting "foreign aid". At present, it is the tourist season, Luo Li couple invited Xu Mingchang sister with store sales experience to be responsible for the management of the resort, in addition to hiring a young college student, responsible for the overall promotion and online marketing of the cabin. "At present, the accommodation is relatively perfect. We have also hired a special chef to develop the dishes, but if we want to give the tourists a better experience, we still need to think hard." Although she is not good at folk tourism management, Xu Ming's attitude of "doing one thing well" still makes her strive for excellence in all aspects.

"This cabin not only brought us tourism benefits, but also brought us several big deals." Luo Li's original dream has now come true. This year, the entrepreneurial couple took orders for 200 cabins in Zhangshanying Town, Yanqing, which will take three years to complete. In the process of building the cabin, Luo Li was also thinking about innovation. "Now the industry is very competitive, and although there are certain industry standards for cabin construction, these standards are also very easy to copy. So the core technology of the future is embodied in materials." Luo Li said that after all, wood has a long time to become a material, so their company has built a base in Fujian and is studying the feasibility of using heavy bamboo instead of solid wood to build a whole cabin. Now heavy bamboo has been applied to the stair construction of Naxi tribe cabin by him, and they are the only enterprises in Beijing that can provide heavy bamboo materials at present. In the future, he hopes his company will become an integrated company integrating material supply, cabin construction and tourism vacation, leading the overall development of the cabin industry.
