Zhang Yingping, 45, went out to work for many years after he retired from the army in 1993. During the Spring Festival in 2009, Zhang Yingping returned home for the Spring Festival. after learning that his hometown had policies to strengthen poverty alleviation and development and increase support for agricultural industries, he resolutely returned to his hometown to develop characteristic agricultural industries.

At that time, he took the lead in developing the flue-cured tobacco industry in his village. in that year, he planted 20 mu of flue-cured tobacco, generating 60, 000 yuan in income. under his lead, more than 20 tobacco farmers in the village developed flue-cured tobacco with an annual income of 1.5 million yuan, turning the flue-cured tobacco industry into a pillar industry. Zhang Yingping adapted measures to local conditions, focused on the advantage of ecological resources in Kaiben Town, where the forest coverage rate was as high as 84%, and developed aquaculture. In 2014, with the encouragement of the town government, Zhang Yingping took the lead in investing more than 1.5 million yuan through investigation and study and raising funds from various parties. At the tile factory in Dazhai Village, more than 3000 square meters of standardized and large-scale commercial cattle farms were built, and through contact with comrades-in-arms, excellent breeds such as Simmental and Limuzan were introduced to Jilin and Sichuan, and 78 commercial cattle were developed that year.

As soon as he started raising cattle and had no experience, he found books to teach himself. If he didn't understand, he asked the technicians of the animal husbandry department, or checked the information on the Internet. In this way, his breeding skills became more and more mature. At the same time, through the introduction of friends, he got in touch with some sales markets inside and outside Guizhou Province and had a stable sales channel. At the beginning of 2015, the supply of the first batch of commercial cattle fell short of demand, with a net profit of more than 300,000 yuan. In order to expand the industry, he invested his profits in buying small cowboys, increasing the number of commercial cattle on the farm to 130, which generated more than 700,000 yuan after sale in May this year.

After Zhang Yingping succeeded in developing the cattle industry, the town government organized farmers who were willing to develop the cattle industry to observe on the spot. He explained cattle raising skills on the spot and provided technical services free of charge. Driven by Zhang Yingping, Kaiben Town has developed nearly 60 professional cattle households and nearly 3000 beef cattle, generating an annual income of more than 2600 million yuan, leading more than 30 archives to set up card households and more than 120 poor people to lift themselves out of poverty.
