In 1984, Huang Aihua returned to his hometown to do business after retiring from the army, and soon made small achievements. Looking at the barren scene of his hometown, he has been thinking about how to use these lands to help villagers start businesses and become rich together.

"Big industry can drive big development!" Huang Aihua believes that industrial poverty alleviation is the best way to get rid of poverty. Subsequently, he invested a large amount of money to revitalize 7000 mu of wasteland in Menggong Mountain Village and build greenhouses. In 2009, Huang Aihua initiated the establishment of the "Five-Star Watermelon Professional Cooperative", leading the melon farmers to "group" development, unified seedling raising, unified technology, unified fertilizer supply, unified brand, unified sales, and five "unification" to form an agglomeration effect.

In the first year, Guan Jieyuan planted 13 mu and earned more than 60,000 yuan. The villagers saw that the first batch of members had planted watermelon and got "sweet", and everyone followed suit. Soon, Menggong Mountain Village fields were planted with watermelon, built greenhouses, planted black beauty watermelon up to more than 10,000 mu.

Yitang Town has held Watermelon Festival for six consecutive years, from the previous "sell out" sales to the current "import" sales, tourists come to pick watermelon by themselves, not only propagandize "Yitang" brand black beauty watermelon, but also drive the local tourism industry.

Huang Aihua constantly expands the planting scale. The company pays rent of nearly 700,000 yuan every year, employs more than 150 farmers in the village all the year round, and the per capita monthly income can reach 2000 yuan. In the past, the land output of Yitang Town was only 300 or 400 yuan per mu. Through the industrial drive of Huang Aihua Company, it has been increased by 10 times, reaching 3000-4000 yuan per mu.
