In 2013, he began to breed crape myrtle himself with crape myrtle seeds and learned to graft American crape myrtle. In autumn and winter, he alone carried a hoe, safety rope and a large bag on his back, riding a motorcycle to dig for treasures in the deep mountains and forests of Guizhou, Xiangxi and Huaihua. Once, when he was searching for treasure on the edge of a cliff, he accidentally lost his hand and hung from a tree branch in mid-air. it took a lot of effort to land safely, and he still has lingering fears.
