"Foreign monks" bring rich local peach farmers
"there are 10 tons of peaches on the bus. They were ordered from Shanghai. They have sent out six cars in a row. Starting from tomorrow, we will ship the goods to Nanjing. " On July 3, at the ten thousand mu peach orchard planting demonstration base in Tianganghu Township, Sihong County, Jiangsu Province, fruit grower Li Chaozhong said happily.
Just three years ago, Li Chaozhong was a fruit farmer in Dangshan, Anhui Province. In 2013, he came to Tianganghu Township, Sihong County to "panning for gold" and transferred 212 mu of land to plant peach trees. "this year, the wholesale price of peaches is 4 yuan per jin, and the retail price of supermarkets is 6.81 yuan per catty. The benefit of peaches per mu is at least 3000 yuan." Although this year is still the first birth of peach trees, Li Chaozhong is overjoyed in the face of peaches that are red and covered with branches.
"I really didn't expect that they could grow such delightful peaches on the hillside." Ma Fei, deputy head of Tiangang Lake Township, said.
Ma Fei is a person who grows peaches on a large scale in Tiangang Lake Township. The township is located in the southwest of Sihong County, the land is barren, the field drop is large, the farming conditions are backward, and the crops are basically planted by the sky. In a normal year, the net income of wheat and corn per mu of land is less than 1000 yuan. In case of natural disasters, there may even be no harvest. As early as the autumn of 2002, Ma Fei, then secretary of the party branch of Pangang Village, Tiangang Lake Township, took some farmers to try to plant peach trees. "at that time, everyone planted varieties such as Millennium Red, Ruby, and Lichun. Although the countryside funded the construction of roads and drip irrigation in the fields, because the nectarines were small and the picking period was only two weeks, the price was low, and the net income of the highest field was less than 3000 yuan."
An accidental opportunity, let Tiangang Lake and Dangshan formed a fate. In the spring of 2013, Yan Feng, secretary of the township party committee, took the agricultural technology station, the village branch secretary and some farmers to Dangshan, a way to study in Anhui Province. What is eye-opening to them is that the net income per mu of nectarine during the high-yield period here can reach up to 16000 yuan. Also grow nectarines, why is the income gap so big? They invited experts to test and analyze the soil of Tiangang Lake and concluded that the soil here is very suitable for growing nectarines, apples and other fruits.
"can we introduce some incentive policies to try to attract fruit farmers from Dangshan to promote the development of our peach industry?" The opinions of the township leaders soon agreed. It turns out that there is little cultivated land on the other side of Dangshan, so it is difficult to meet the expansion needs of large-scale production of fruit farmers.
With the support of the county, the township publicly promised to plant fruit trees on the transferred land in Tianganghu Township, with an annual subsidy of 400 yuan per mu for three consecutive years. Dangshan fruit farmers are overjoyed and have come to Tiangang Lake to look for business opportunities.
Zhou Shuangxi, a peach farmer in Dangshan, took the lead in eating crabs. He invested more than 2 million yuan to transfer more than 1000 mu of land from farmers in Pangang village to plant nectarines. Just over a year later, it blossomed and bear fruit, with an income of nearly 3000 yuan per mu. See profitable, Dangshan fruit farmers come to "lease land" one after another. As of June this year, Dangshan has planted more than 100 peach trees in Tiangang Lake, with an operating area of more than 12000 mu, accounting for more than 80% of the total area of peach trees planted in Tiangang Lake.
Fruit growers in Dangshan are really good at growing peaches. Xu Zhiying invested more than 800,000 yuan to plant 280 mu of "Guangzhan No.1" nectarines in Pangang village. Although this year is the first production period, it produces more than 3000 jin of peaches per mu, and the largest single peach weighs up to 0.6 jin. Due to the good appearance and taste, peaches are in short supply. "generally speaking, peach trees enter a high-yielding period after four years. Conservatively speaking, by that time, the average yield per mu will be more than 4000 jin, and there will be no problem at all that the income per mu will exceed 10,000 yuan. "
Dangshan fruit farmers are smiling, and local farmers have also benefited a lot. The Fang Ping family of the Wangji neighborhood Committee of Tiangang Lake Township, which is over 40 years old, is a low-income family, and Taoyuan is on its doorstep. After Dangshan fruit farmers settled here, she became a "worker". Pruning, medicating, weeding, picking and packing are done almost every day, earning more than 60 yuan a day and nearly 20,000 yuan a year.
According to reports, more than 2000 farmers in the township work in orchards, with an annual increase in wage income of nearly 50 million yuan. Yang Qing, a farmer of the Zhao Ma neighborhood Committee, has planted more than 20 mu of peach trees, which is still an old variety of "Qianjianhong" more than 10 years ago, with an average net income of only 1500 yuan per mu. Faced with such a large price gap, he decided to replace the new variety this winter. In order to enable local farmers to gain more benefits, Tiangang Lake Township and Village have also made matchmaking at the two levels, mobilizing 22 local farmers to plant joint-stock peaches by means of land and Dangshan fruit farmers, with a cooperation area of 3000 mu this year.
At present, the planting area of peach trees in Tiangang Lake Township has reached 15000 mu. According to the existing area, it is estimated that after two years, the total output of peaches will reach more than 30, 000 tons, with an annual output value of 140 million yuan. Compared with planting food crops, the economic benefit per mu of planting peach trees is more than 10 times.
The land is still that land. As soon as the main body of management changes, it will quickly bring about tremors in many aspects, such as variety selection, technical management, business philosophy, sales channels, economic benefits and so on. The fact that "Xiantao" grows on the sloping land of Tiangang Lake Township does bring a lot of enlightenment to people on how to improve the land output rate.
