Eighteen years ago in the autumn, on that sunny afternoon, Cui Dejun, a farmer from Wufu Village, Bala Yao Township, Tian'e County, went up to the mountain to herd cattle. Cui Dejun, who had no way to work and had just returned home from Guangdong, was bored, looked up at the sky, lay on the grass and fell asleep unconsciously.

Waking up, Cui Dejun was so thirsty that he looked around for mountain fruit. Suddenly, purple plums on several wild plums caught his eye. Two or three plums went into the mouth, and Cui Dejun felt sweet and sour, with fragrant lips, which excited Cui Dejun, who had worked as a technician in the orchard, and decided to marry these wild plum trees to his own fruit tree.

As time flies, 18 years have passed, and several wild plum trees discovered by Cui Dejun have long been "dead", but this kind of "pearl plum" that he successfully grafted and "can eat" has been strongly promoted by the Tiane county party committee and county government. the planting area has exceeded 100000 mu, and the products are well-known and exported to more than 20 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) across the country.

A fate changed by plums

On August 9, the bright sun hung in the sky. In his orchard, Fang Wencai, 48, sold the last batch of pearls to a Guilin boss. Fangwen, who had just finished weighing plums, was gasping for breath, sweating and looking relaxed.

Fang Wen is a native of Bala Village, Bala Township. He has a family of six, and his wife is disabled and inconvenient to move. Before 2008, Fang Wen just ran around, relying on hard work to support his family, so it was very difficult to make a living.

In 2009, under the guidance of the local government, Fang Wencai planted 15 mu of pearl plums on his sloping land. Come and go, harvest in autumn and hide in winter. Since 2012, Pearl Li has been hanging fruit one after another. in a few years, he earned more than 1.6 million yuan from selling fruit and built a beautiful small house.

The fate of Fang Wencai is a vivid portrayal of the fate of Gaojiantun. Gaojiantun is located halfway up the hillside. Looking down from the village, the world-famous Longtan Hydropower Station Dam stands out. For many years, the villagers here dug wells to drink water, ploughed and fed, and lived a hard and calm life.

Also in the autumn of 2012, more than 500 mu of pearl plums planted by 22 families in Gaojiantun blossomed and bear fruit. The unique taste of pearl plums attracted fruit merchants to come and buy them at high prices. Pearl Li began to become a cash cow for the villagers.

Xiao Xingqin, captain of Gaojiantun, told reporters that in 2014 alone, the total output value of Gaojiantun pearl plum was 3.8 million yuan, with an average household income of 170000 yuan, with a maximum income of 360000 yuan and a minimum income of 80, 000 yuan. "now, every household in the village has built beautiful buildings, and some of them have even bought cars." Xiao Xingqin said.

Today, Gaojiantun has become a typical example of industrial wealth in Tian'e County. A hardened cement road leads directly to the entrance of the village, and Li Shu, which is covered with mountains, has become a tourist attraction. In March and April, when plum flowers are in full bloom, and in July and August, when plum fruit is fragrant, it has become a good place for people to enjoy flowers and fruits, and the quiet mountain village in the past has become lively.

In Tiane, Pearl Li has become a "sharp weapon" for farmers to shake off poverty and become rich, and stories of farmers growing plums to make a fortune can be found everywhere. Cui Dejun, who discovered Pearl Li at that time, now grows pearl plum covering an area of 50 mu. Under his guidance, large growers such as Tian Banrong and Zheng Shaomi appeared in Wufu Village, leading more than 600 households to shake off poverty and become rich.

Wang Mingsong, who is in his 50s, is the director of Yimin Fruit and vegetable Cooperative, the first cooperative in Bala Township. He has 104 farmers "under his name." Most of the more than 1200 mu of pearl plums in the cooperative were sold to Sichuan, Guizhou and other places through him. "in our co-operatives, the annual income of farmers growing pearl plums is more than 400,000 yuan and 30,000 to 40,000 yuan less." Wang Mingsong said.

After years of painstaking management, at present, the pearl plum in Tiane County has developed to 100000 mu, with a production area of 18000 mu and an output value of 120 million yuan. The characteristic industry covers 16900 poor people who set up archives and set up cards, accounting for 67.2% of the poor population in the county.

"Internet celebrities" in moments.

The beloved of e-commerce

"the fruit tastes good and the customers have responded well. Please mail another 100 cases." On the evening of August 7, Huang Pengfei, a WeChat businessman in Nanning, received a phone call from the owner of a fruit wholesale market in Dongying City, Shandong Province, asking him to deliver the goods urgently. The 60 cases of pearl plums that the boss bought two days ago were sold out in one day.

Pearl plum began to appear on the market at the beginning of August. In Wechat moments, the harvested Pearl Li has almost been brushed on the screen, and what people talk about most is its crisp meat and unique taste, and online sales are a mess.

At noon on August 4, at a fruit store in Tiane County, 28-year-old Li Jialing was unable to eat lunch. She kept on the phone, loading pearls and plums into gift boxes and ordering people to transfer goods from the fruit market, sweating all over her head.

Although she only started a WeChat business in February this year, Li Jialing's business is booming, and the number of excellent fruits sold online has reached more than 100000 jin. After Pearl Li was listed at the end of July, Li Jialing was even more busy. "I have to send about 150 pearl plums to Liuzhou, Shanghai, Shandong and other places every day, and each of them can earn 20 to 30 yuan, which really exhausts me." Li Jialing said happily with a stack of thick invoice.

"I have more than 1000 friends in my circle of friends, more than 200 of whom sell pearls and plums as WeChat businessmen." Li Jialing told reporters.

Tian'e e-commerce association has been established for less than a month and now has 12 member units. Wei Mingsheng, president of the Association and chairman of Tian'e Jin Guiyuan Food Co., Ltd., said: "since August 4, the Electronic Chamber of Commerce has started to sell pearls and plums online. Jin Guiyuan sends more than 1500 pieces of pearls to various places every day."

The bill from the logistics company can also prove the popularity of Pearl Li's sales.

On the morning of August 4, the reporter saw in the business hall of Tian'e County Post Company that there were bustling people inside and outside the door, and the ground was covered with boxes of pearls waiting for express delivery. Luo Qijia, a staff member at the front desk, told reporters that from July 30, the number of pearl plums issued by the business hall will be about 3500 pieces a day, reaching a peak of 4, 000 to 5, 000 pieces, and this situation will continue until the end of August.

Since the listing of Pearl Li, although the daily turnover of Shunfeng's Tiane business is no more than that of the postal company, it has skyrocketed by more than 10 times that of the usual day, and the business department has to increase manpower and work overtime to cope with it.

Statistics provided by the Tian'e County Fruit Bureau show that in a short period of six days from August 4 to 9, the county sold 4000 tons of pearl plums, with wholesale prices ranging from 3 yuan to 12 yuan per kilogram, and the income of fruit growers in the county was guaranteed.

Those years stick to the bumper harvest of these years

Fifteen years ago, when Longtan Power Station was launched, a large number of people and logistics poured into Tian'e, the crowded crowd, floating a variety of dialects. The small town of Tian'e, which lives in a corner and is unknown, has also become famous because of Longtan.

In 2009, Longtan Power Station was fully completed, and in the previous two or three years, a large number of construction workers have been evacuated from Tiane, the noise gradually receded, and the prosperity faded. How to rely on Longtan to vigorously develop the Tiane economy and bring well-being to the people has become a difficult problem in front of the previous Tiane county party committee and county government.

From August 3 to 4, the special interview team of this newspaper interviewed in Tian'e, driving from the town of Wuai in Nandan to Tian'e, where the mountains and rivers all the way were green and green. Fresh air, eyes full of green, people are extremely comfortable. And insisting on green development for several decades is the key to solving the problem in Tianye County, and Pearl Li's "exploding red" also confirms this point.

According to statistics, in Tian'e, where there are no factories and no chimneys, in 2015, the county completed a GDP of 5.59 billion yuan, a fiscal revenue of 379 million yuan, and a per capita net income of 6100 yuan for rural residents, an increase of 44.4%, 67.3% and 41.4% respectively over 2011. The total amount of these figures still lags far behind that of the whole country and some places in the region, but it is not easy in Tiane, which has a long way to go and poor natural conditions.

"there is no doubt that Longtan Power Station has a great pulling effect on the economy of Tian'e. However, the green industry is a project to enrich the people, which brings the greatest benefits to the common people. " Said Washington Feng, who has worked in the Tiane Bureau of Statistics for 24 years and has been familiar with Tiane's economic development.

Washington Feng believes that the fact that Tiane has been able to develop characteristic agriculture so well is due to the great foresight of previous county party committees and county government teams in Tiane, holding in mind the realm of "success does not have to be in me," and adhering to the concept of green development and being in power for the people. Especially since 2011, the county's innovative business model, marketing model, the leading industry Longtan Pearl Li has won a lot of honors, has been loved and recognized by the people throughout the country, and led to the rapid development and growth of characteristic agriculture.

Wei Facai, director of the Tian'e County Fruit Bureau, believes that after years of careful cultivation, Tian'e 's ecological industry has basically achieved "shift upgrading." At present, there are 473000 mu of high-quality fruit, 175000 mu of walnut, 123000 mu of golden scented tea, 615000 mu of paulownia and 150000 mu of bamboo. The diversification of ecological industries has given farmers visible and tangible benefits and won the "golden rice bowl".
