The scorching sun in August walked into the Yufeng vineyard in Nanliang Village, Yicheng County, showing a busy scene. More than a dozen masters were busy packing clusters of fresh grapes into boxes. Liu Dayi, a merchant from Jinan, Shandong Province, came to order early. "I already knew that the grapes would be on the market, so I hurriedly came to order. Today I ordered 70,000 or 80,000 jin, and I'm going to send it to Beijing."

The vineyard is lush and lush, and the air is full of intoxicating fragrance. Rows of open-air grapes are stacked one after another, and the grapes are crystal clear and bright, making people taste sweet and refreshing. Before aftertaste from the sweet and delicious grapes, a young man with glasses, casual clothes and a pair of black cloth shoes greeted the author and his party enthusiastically. He was Zhang Yufeng, the owner of Yufeng vineyard.

Zhang Yufeng is simple and not good at words, but at the mention of grapes, he suddenly opens the chatterbox.

Discover grape business opportunity by chance

Zhang Yufeng, 37, originally worked for Jiugang Company in Yicheng County. With his hard-working character, he has worked in Jiugang Company for 12 years, and his small life is getting better and better. However, with the serious overcapacity of steel across the country and low efficiency, Jiuquan Iron and Steel Company was forced to close down, merge and reorganize. Like most enterprise employees, Zhang Yufeng has become an employee waiting for employment.

As the country speeds up the pace of adjusting agricultural production, Zhang Yufeng wants to make an article on the land. He successively went to Northeast China, Shandong and other places to inspect pears, grapes, greenhouse vegetables, cherries and other cash crops. By chance, in Raoyang County, Hebei Province, he saw that the grapes planted by local villagers were large, expensive and marketable, which gave him the idea of going home to grow grapes.

However, when Zhang Yufeng told the idea to his parents and wife, he was strongly opposed by his family. Parents have been farming for generations, but they mainly grow food crops such as wheat and corn. "it is expected that the land can do something big, and there will be a lot of investment." His parents' opposition and his wife's lack of understanding could not stop his determination to grow grapes. He worked repeatedly, and his family finally agreed.

Make great efforts to grow high-quality grapes

If you want to grow grapes, you must first have land. Zhang Yufeng was pleasantly surprised to find that the land in his hometown Nanliang Village is loose and fertile, and the transportation is convenient, so it is very suitable for growing grapes. He immediately coordinated and communicated with the team of the "two committees" of the town and village, took out his savings, transferred 323 mu of land, and began to plant grapes.

Zhang Yufeng successively introduced Xia Hei, Karen Sheng, Hongti and other grape varieties to start planting. In order to better grasp the new grape planting technology, he visited and studied in other places many times and bought books on grape cultivation for self-study. Use the Internet to find information, related video learning. At the same time, experts from Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Zhengzhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences were invited to provide technical guidance.

With the "pulse consultation" of technical experts, Zhang Yufeng threw off his arms and began to work hard. He is busy every day in the vineyard. Zhang Yufeng is meticulous in everything from breeding and cultivation to pruning and pest control.

In July last year, it rained heavily in Yicheng County for a week, and some grapes got downy mildew, which spoiled Zhang Yufeng. However, because of his stubborn character, he never gives up easily. On the contrary, difficulties have strengthened his idea that he must grow grapes well. "where you fall, you have to get up from there!" As long as you get home in time, you will certainly be able to grow good grapes! " Then, he went to the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences and sincerely asked the experts for advice. Under the guidance of the experts, he was equipped with special medicine to spray. In less than half a month, all the grapes were cured.

At the same time, Zhang Yufeng dares to improve the existing technology. He changed the grape frame from the traditional fence to the "V" frame, making full use of the space to make the leaves larger and the ears fully colored. "our grapes are still original, green and pollution-free." Zhang Yufeng told me that in order to ensure that every bunch of grapes is green and pollution-free, he always insisted on no pesticides, all farm manure and organic fertilizer, and cultivation and management without shed in accordance with the laws of nature.

Work hard to live up to dedicated people, slowly, Zhang Yufeng summed up a set of effective grape planting management methods, so that the output and output value of grapes continue to increase. Today, the yield of grapes planted by him has reached more than 2000 kilograms per mu. According to the market price of 8 yuan per kilogram, the net income per mu is about 15000 yuan.

Lead the surrounding farmers to the road of prosperity

A person rich is not rich, taste the sweetness of Zhang Yufeng produced a huge driving effect, many villagers came to him to "learn from the experience." While planting and managing his own vineyard, he led and helped other villagers to develop the grape planting industry, and often provided free technical guidance for the villagers, such as fertilization, pruning, fruit thinning, and so on. Led by him, the villagers followed suit one after another. Zhang Zimao, a villager of Dongyin Village, planted 20 mu; Li Guoxiang, a villager of Xibao Village, planted 10 mu; and Li Xiaoming, a villager of Wangzhuang, came to study and planted 9 mu of grapes.

Zhang Yufeng knows very well that it is difficult to start a business and that it is not easy to get a job. Usually, when he saw some villagers in the village playing mahjong and chatting at home during their leisure time, he took the initiative to come to the door to help them connect with the sideline, asking them to do some chores in the vineyard during their leisure time, not only paying daily wages, but also including food and accommodation for them. more than 100 people were employed in the vineyard at its peak.

Under the grape frame, villager Wang Aizhen is busy cutting grapes skillfully with scissors and putting them in the basket. "I'm not tired at all. I can earn 60 or 70 yuan a day, and 2000 yuan a month alone."

Like everyone else, villager Nie Chunhai helps with temporary work in the vineyard every day and learns from the technicians. Gradually, he has mastered the skills of growing grapes. Seeing that he had a good income from growing grapes, he planned his 3 mu of land and planted all the red grapes. "I used to work outside. I heard that someone in Nanliang Village had made money by growing grapes. I also came back to learn to grow. There must be a good harvest this year!"

Looking at his grape plantation, Zhang Yufeng said that his greatest wish now is to continue to expand the grape picking tour project and build grape picking experience areas and rest areas, so that tourists can enjoy the fun of rural picking tours. In the next step, he wants to lead more farmers to the well-off road by planting grapes, so that the villagers can have a good life and really turn the grape industry into a "sweet" cause and a "happy" industry for local farmers to get rich.
