"I'm a farmer and I grew up playing in a vegetable patch. Hungry, pull a tomato to eat, pick up cabbage to nibble, that tastes good! Nowadays, you rarely get to eat vegetables like that. I just want to grow my own vegetables and find the taste of childhood." On August 20, Yang Yuming, owner of Jinyuan Family Ecological Farm in Wenfeng District, prunes grape branches in the greenhouse, sweat trickles down his cheeks.

Simple, simple dream let Yang Yuming return to the land after many years of business. In 2013, he transferred more than 100 mu of cultivated land of more than 20 farmers in Dongfeng Village, Baoliansi Town, Wenfeng District, built Jinyuan Family Ecological Farm, and began the dream-seeking journey of developing natural agriculture.

"In the first year or two, I planted grass first and invested more than 1 million yuan." Yang Yuming laughed heartily. Because the transferred land has been applied chemical fertilizer for a long time and the soil is hardened, Yang Yuming decides to cultivate the land first, apply biological organic fertilizer in the field, naturally decompose harmful substances in the soil and improve the soil; at the same time, let the weeds in the field grow freely, the weeds themselves can absorb and decompose harmful substances, but also can make very good organic fertilizer; then, repeatedly deep ploughing, rotary tillage of the land, the land fertility.

Although the economy suffered a lot of losses, but the ecological environment has been well restored. Two years later, Yang Yuming's more than 100 mu of land fertile soil, green, seven-star ladybugs can be reached, birds flock, wild animals even nest in the field, a lively scene. Next, Yang Yuming planted more than 40 mu of vegetables, more than 50 mu of fruit trees, set up pig houses, cattle and sheep pens, and built 300 cubic meters of biogas digester. He weeded without pesticide, relying entirely on manual labor. At the same time, he will pull out the weeds dried, ground into grass powder to feed sheep and pigs, and then sheep, pigs and other livestock manure collected as biogas raw materials. Methane enters the greenhouse through pipelines, cooperates with mobile ozone generator for pest control and sterilization, biogas residue and biogas slurry are used for fertilization and fertilizer increase, forming a complete ecological cycle planting and breeding mode.

In order to improve the benefits of natural ecological agriculture, Yang Yuming, who is familiar with the characteristics of fruits and vegetables, has also figured out new methods of three-dimensional planting. In the greenhouse, eggplant and pepper are planted under grape racks; in the open field, zucchini and celery are planted under apple trees and pear trees. Last year, he opened up three acres of new land and experimented with three-layer elevated planting: cabbage above and garlic below in winter; potted vegetables above and potatoes below in spring. Especially potted vegetables, although several times higher than ordinary vegetables, but deeply loved by the public.

"Farming, especially natural farming, is a conscientious business! It must be done without pesticide and chemical fertilizer to ensure quality. Say it and do it!" Yang Yuming said. In April this year, Yang Yuming planted an mu of cucumber, the market price per catty 3 yuan, is selling hot bone eye, cucumber suddenly suffered double mildew attack, someone advised him to hit medicine, he did not hesitate to clean up all disease cucumber, lost sixty or seventy thousand yuan. In his mind, commitment is more important than money.

At present, Jinyuan Family Ecological Farm has formed an urban ecological natural agriculture park integrating agricultural product production, processing, sales and leisure sightseeing, and has built facilities and functional areas such as multi-span greenhouses, double-layer greenhouses,"three-marsh" comprehensive utilization projects, standardized breeding farms and characteristic fruit cultivation gardens. More than 10 varieties of fruits and vegetables have been produced by using facilities for three-dimensional soilless cultivation and free breeding of livestock and poultry under the forest. The breeding scale of chickens, ducks, geese and other livestock and poultry exceeds 10000. Among them, the environmental quality and product quality of melon and vegetable plantation park have been tested by professional institutions. Citizens can not only adopt vegetable fields and fruit trees, plant and pick fresh fruits and vegetables on farms, experience farming life, but also taste green fruits and vegetables, livestock and poultry products in direct sales shops located in urban areas on farms and enjoy the gifts of nature.

"Natural agriculture has a long cycle, high standards, and slow results. It is very good to be effective in 10 years. In the past few years, some people have recognized and some people have said sarcastic words, but no matter what others say, as long as it is beneficial to society, we must persist. You have to be honest with yourself! No matter how hard it is, keep going!" Yang Yuming said firmly.
