He gave up his annual income of nearly 200000 yuan abroad and resolutely returned to his hometown to operate the "toad land" where the rain was stagnant. He thinks that these places are very promising--

"Toad Land" transformed into "Creative Ecological Agricultural Garden"

Large areas of lotus lush, the breeze blowing, the pool of lotus leaves swaying and dancing, like the graceful posture of a beautiful young girl holding a green umbrella. On August 17, the author was in the middle of it, as if in a picture. The owner of this masterpiece is Li Bin, a villager of Zhangzhai Village, Fuzhai Township, Zhengyang County.

Li Bin, 44, went out at the age of 18, and his hard-working, studious and enterprising character soon enabled him to gain a foothold in a large chemical enterprise in Zhumadian City and have a relatively stable post and income, especially in recent years. Many people envy the salary of nearly 200000 yuan a year. But no one would have thought that before the Spring Festival in 2013, Li Bin made an incredible decision to go back to his hometown to manage the land!

People are eager to climb out of the dirt nest, but he is better, leaving the good work outside and drilling into the earth nest! Many people in the village don't understand.

In recent years, the state has made great efforts to support agriculture, and the management of land can also make a difference. Li Bin believes that, but the management of land should also have ideas and creativity.

"people in my hometown are used to wheat and peanut rotation, and the best annual income per mu is less than 2000 yuan. due to years of rotation, soil diseases have occurred, and land acidification and salinization are becoming more and more serious, so the planting structure must be changed." Li Bin said, "among them, there are more than 100 mu of abandoned kiln depressions. Rain Water is a big one, and the ditch is full of flat rivers. It is known as' toad land', and the income is even less."

There is not a large-scale lotus root production base in my hometown, and local lotus root consumption is basically purchased from other places. He successively went to Shandong Jining, Shouguang and other places for on-the-spot investigation, and decided to engage in lotus root planting. His own 13-acre "toad land" is his best testing ground.

Last year, he invited professionals to plan and hired excavators to transform 4 mu of them into a lotus root pond one meter deep, lay film in the pond, cover it with wheat bran and surface soil, and inject enough water to introduce and grow "Yugoslav snow lotus". "this kind of lotus root is crisp and sweet, with high nutritional value, commonly known as' fruit lotus root', with a yield of more than 8000 jin per mu." Introduced by Li Bin. At the same time, he also raised the Loach in the lotus pond. He said that the Loach can loosen the soil and eat the plankton in the pond, and the manure of the Loach has become fertilizer, which is helpful to the growth of lotus root.

How's the income? Li Helin, a technical expert in the village, calculated an account: the lotus root is calculated at 8000 jin per mu, and the external wholesale price of 3.50 yuan per jin is not a problem. Loach can produce nearly 300 jin per mu, and the market price is 20 yuan per jin.

He planned more than 4 mu of arable land to the north of the lotus root pond as an orchard to plant fruit trees such as golden pears in late autumn. in order to ensure sufficient income from cultivated land, he planted wheat and sweet potatoes among pear seedlings and other fruit trees in the early days. The arable land to the west of the lotus root pond is planned as a vegetable growing area to grow seasonal vegetables and greenhouse out-of-season vegetables.

"next, when the fruit trees grow into hanging fruit, put a net around the garden, raise native chickens, ducks and geese in the garden, and let them catch insects and eat grass in the garden, and their feces will become fertilizer for the fruit trees again." Li Bin told us about it.

"it doesn't make sense to be rich. If you can drive your neighbors to work together to get rich together, that will reflect your personal value." Li Bin said. In August 2015, Li Bin took the lead in establishing a professional cooperative for vegetable growers in Xinlong, Zhengyang County, and joined the Henan Agricultural Science and Technology 110 service system to provide full-process scientific and technological services to farmers who are willing to join the cooperative. At present, there are nearly 10 farmers who have joined the cooperative.

"I want to transfer as many of these unguaranteed toads as possible, expand the planting area of lotus roots, orchards, and vegetables, and drive more neighbors to get rich!" This is Li Bin's wish for the future. In fact, Li Bin is ready to develop on a large scale. In cooperation with China Tesco, he has set up a "Cultural E-commerce Life Hall". The agricultural and sideline products produced are directly exported through e-commerce.
