In Guyuan, there is such a woman who leads bee farmers to raise bees to produce honey. what is different is that she "directs" bees to collect honey according to their needs. now she has developed six kinds of honey, among which peony honey is original in Ningxia. the price per kilogram is as high as 780 yuan. This has not only solved the problem of guerrilla beekeeping by bee farmers, but also improved the quantity and quality of honey production. Nowadays, when buckwheat blossoms, she organizes bee farmers with bees to come to the ten thousand mu buckwheat planting base to collect pollen and make honey. She is Li Liping.

Li Liping, 38, is a legendary woman with a fierce personality and dares to do things. Li Liping's father is a top student at Tsinghua University. in order to support his eight children to go to school, his father opened the first electric welding machinery repair department in Sanying Town, Yuanzhou District. Li Liping stayed at school when she was in junior high school, and her father sent her dry food every week. Li Liping recalled that at that time, the economy was difficult and her family ate miscellaneous grains, but every time her father sent her white flour steamed buns.

"every time my father sent me dry food, he always told me to study hard and then hurried to the welding shop." Li Liping said that every time she watched her father ride away by bike, she could not help but burst into tears and wanted to lighten her father's burden as soon as possible.

After graduating from junior high school, Li Liping decided not to go to school and left the opportunity to his brother and sister. The decision was strongly opposed by the parents, but at Li Liping's insistence, the parents finally compromised, and my father cried bitterly.

Li Liping, who is only 15 years old, began to learn from his father. Electric welding and mechanical repair is a dirty and tiring job. Li Liping's face is often burned by electric welding, but he is never tired of shouting. Three years passed in a flash, under the influence of her father, she not only mastered the skills of electric welding and mechanical repair, but also developed a character of not admitting defeat.

In order to make a career, Li Liping decided to go out and start a business on her own. She has successively engaged in business marketing, steel structure processing and other businesses. In 2002, Li Liping married, and her mother-in-law is a famous local beekeeper. The careful Li Liping found that her mother-in-law raised nearly 100 boxes of bees, but there was only one kind of honey.

"how can we increase the variety of honey and increase the yield?" Li Liping began to think. Coincidentally, in Li Liping's hometown, some people planted astragalus on a large scale through land transfer. Whenever astragalus blossoms, the color of the honey brewed in her home changes. Through observation for many days, Li Liping found that the change in honey color was caused by bees picking astragalus flowers.

"since bees can pick astragalus flowers, they can also pick other flowers." Thinking of this, Li Liping had a flash in his mind and decided to find a way to get bees to collect different nectar. Starting from June every year, Li Liping, according to the florescence of Chinese wolfberry and alfalfa, brought bees with his family to the field to pick flowers. During this period, Li Liping found that the production of honey increased significantly, and the purity of honey increased. After solving the malpractice of "waiting for the rabbit" of picking flowers and making honey in the past, a new problem has emerged, that is, there is no fixed large area of flowers, and it is often necessary to go out with bees to look for flowers, not only painstaking efforts, but also output and quality can not be guaranteed. So Li Liping thought about letting bees gather flowers and produce honey according to their own wishes.

In order to make bees have a fixed source of flowers, ensure the quality of bee products from the source. In 2014, after Li Liping set up a bee products company in Yuande Charity Industrial Park in Yuanzhou District, he went to Gansu, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Sichuan and other places to find flowers. At the same time, he invested and established peony planting base, astragalus planting base, buckwheat planting base, alfalfa base and Chinese wolfberry base in Guyuan.

With a flower picking base, Li Liping contacted bee farmers everywhere and set up beekeeping cooperatives to invest in helping villagers keep bees. In order to solve the worries of bee farmers, Li Liping signed a honey purchase contract with the villagers to solve the problem of selling bee products. Li Liping calculated an account for the reporter that the cost of a box of bees ranges from 1000 yuan to 1800 yuan. Based on the fact that a box of bees produces 240kg of honey and the price of one kilogram of honey is 40 yuan, excluding the cost, it can earn 7800 yuan a year. "Beekeeping can be said to be a profitable industry with low investment, quick results and high income." Li Liping said.

"with a fixed flower picking base and a large number of bee farmers, you can let bees produce honey according to your needs." Li Liping said: four of the 12 months of the year are the flower picking period, and from June to September each year, according to the different flowering periods of alfalfa, astragalus, Chinese wolfberry, peony, buckwheat and other plants, bee farmers are organized to bring bees to the base to collect flowers. This organized collection of honey not only solves the problem that bees collect flowers everywhere because there is no fixed source of flowers, but also increases the yield of honey and ensures the purity and quality of each kind of honey. By "directing" bees to produce honey, Li Liping successfully developed six types of honey.

With the improvement of Guyuan ecological environment year by year, coupled with land transfer, large-scale cultivation of medicinal materials and crops, creating favorable conditions for beekeeping. This year, after Guyuan made beekeeping an industry for local farmers to shake off poverty and become rich, through government assistance and enterprises, the bee industry grew rapidly in Guyuan, while Li Liping's practice of "directing" bees to produce honey can be said to be unique in driving villagers to become rich.
