In 1998, Zheng Yanying, a migrant worker in Anshan, Liaoning Province, saw that it was very effective for her friends to grow Lentinus edodes here. Every year when she returned to her hometown, she carefully inspected the shiitake mushroom market in her hometown. Through the investigation, she found that the cultivation of shiitake mushrooms in her hometown Liaohe reclamation area was a market blank. At that time, she thought that if she came back to develop the cultivation of Lentinus edodes, it would not only bring economic benefits, but also fill the gap in the cultivation technology of Lentinus edodes in Liaohe Reclamation area. After nearly 10 years of meticulous preparation, in 2008, she and her husband returned to their hometown from Anshan City to develop the cultivation of Lentinus edodes. With the beginning of entrepreneurship, land, roads, funds and other problems appeared in front of her one after another. After multi-party coordination, she built five shiitake mushroom sheds. After the completion of the greenhouse, on the one hand, she trained workers to learn the techniques of growing Lentinus edodes, on the other hand, she led the workers to be busy with planting Lentinus edodes before dawn every day. As shiitake mushrooms grow up day by day, Zheng Yanying feels that growing shiitake mushrooms is like giving birth to her own child, and every day is full of surprises. In late autumn of 2008, she harvested the first bucket of gold in the cultivation of Lentinus edodes. This gives Zheng Yanying and the workers hope and confidence in their future development.

Zheng Yanying told reporters: "now I have rented 2.4 hectares of land and built 5 greenhouse and 5 cold shed for Lentinus edodes. Each Lentinus edodes shed can put 25000 Lentinus edodes sticks, each stick can be picked six times a year, one stick can produce 2 jin of Lentinus edodes each time, and a shed can produce 50 jin of Lentinus edodes every year. Now the average wholesale price is about 5 yuan per jin, and the annual output value of a greenhouse is about 250000 yuan.
