Price analysis of agricultural products:

According to the price monitoring of 49 kinds of vegetables conducted by the Market Information Center, most of the vegetables maintained an upward trend in August 2016, with the average first-grade wholesale price of 3.27 yuan / kg, 2.96 yuan / kg last month, an increase of 10.47%; 3.74 yuan / kg last year, down 12.57%. In August, the wholesale prices of 36 kinds of vegetables rose and 13 kinds decreased.

Among the rising vegetables, lettuce and cauliflower rose by more than 100%, from 1.50 yuan and 1.04 yuan per kilogram to 4.22 yuan and 2.08 yuan respectively, an increase of 181.33% and 100% respectively. In addition, rape, spinach, chrysanthemum, Chinese cabbage, green pepper, oil wheat, zucchini, mushrooms and cabbage increased by more than 50%. The increases were 97.10%, 77.11%, 70.04%, 68.89%, 61.22%, 60.0%, 52.0%, 51.47% and 50.0%, respectively.

The main declining vegetables were rice pepper, sweet potato, Zizania caduciflora, eggplant and wax gourd, which decreased from 10.90 yuan, 3.77 yuan, 8.39 yuan, 1.74 yuan and 0.85 yuan per kilogram to 5.10 yuan, 1.95 yuan, 5.35 yuan, 1.11 yuan and 0.59 yuan per kilogram, respectively, with a decrease of 53.21%, 48.28%, 36.23%, 36.21% and 30.59%, respectively. Other vegetables that declined were Douwang, lotus root, potatoes, golden melon, pumpkin, onion, red pepper and beans, with decreases of 28.89%, 18.0%, 14.77%, 10.81%, 8.75%, 6.31%, 4.30% and 2.67%, respectively.

In August, the listing of local open-air vegetables is coming to an end, and a large number of foreign dishes are beginning to appear on the market. Coupled with the festive effect of the "Mid-Autumn Festival", vegetable prices are expected to rise slightly.

Pork sales prices remain unchanged at high prices this month, with wholesale prices of 24.8 yuan per kilogram and retail prices of 27 yuan per kilogram. Beef prices continue to remain stable, with wholesale prices of 52 yuan per kilogram and retail prices of 54 yuan per kilogram. The price of mutton fell in the first ten days of this month and remained stable in the later period. at present, the wholesale price remains at 48 yuan per kilogram and the retail price is 50 yuan.

As August 15 is approaching, the price of eggs, the main raw material of moon cakes, has been rising all the way this month. The wholesale price has risen from 6 yuan per kilogram to 8 yuan per kilogram. At present, it is basically kept at 8 yuan per kilogram. The average wholesale price of eggs this month was 7.04 yuan per kilogram, up 11.39 percent from 6.32 yuan per kilogram last month, and down 14.04 percent from 8.19 yuan per kilogram last year.
