After graduating from college in 2013, Liu Qiang, 27, returned to Xiaochi Town, Taihu County, where he chose to raise black pigs in the traditional way of free breeding. in just three years, he reached the scale of 600 black pigs a year, and sold black pork to Shanghai, Guangzhou and other places. make more than one million yuan a year.

Plan to raise black pigs for three years

At noon on September 3, the reporter came to a hill called Dawa in Haihui Village, Xiaochi Town, Taihu County, and saw 27-year-old Liu Qiang, dressed in plain blue overalls, who was taming his "second brothers" on the hill. Naturally, the "second brothers" are those black pigs. from the pig house to the hills, the "second brothers" go up the mountain, join the house, listen to music, and take a bath every day at a fixed time, fixed point, and fixed position. Liu Qiang seems to be a general commanding thousands of troops, calling the wind and rain to the "second brothers". "the meat quality of the pork raised in this environment is naturally good." Liu Qiang said confidently.

While Liu Qiang returned to his hometown to start a business and chose to raise black pigs, he not only had something to do with his major in animal science, but also benefited from the inspiration Liu Qiang received during his internship at the university. In 2010, Liu Qiang, a sophomore at Chizhou Vocational and Technical College, came to Tongcheng for an internship at an ecological agriculture development co., Ltd. The company's breeding model is to raise black pigs in captivity in the early stage and black pigs in the later stage. Although the growth cycle of black pigs is longer, more than twice as long as ordinary pigs, at least more than 10 months, and long-term provision of green feed. But because of this, the high-quality taste of pork can be maintained, so the pork market is on the rise all the way. At this time, Liu Qiang quietly planted the dream seed of returning to his hometown to start a business in his heart.

In July 2011, Liu Qiang, who just graduated from university, went to an original pig farm in Chuzhou for an internship, from member to breeder, group leader, supervisor and factory director, using a year to learn their business operation and management. In July 2012, Liu Qiang came to an eco-agricultural development co., Ltd in Hangzhou to study the sales of agricultural products. This is a newly established company, mainly to Shang Chao, hotel intermediaries, to promote other people's agricultural products. After studying in Hangzhou for 8 months, he had a certain understanding of the basic laws of the marketing of agricultural and sideline products. Over the past three years, the ambitious Liu Qiang has made up his mind to write a business plan with six sheets of paper, and has been working hard to quietly work around and accumulate experience for the dream of returning to his hometown to start a business.

Go back to your hometown to be a "herding pig man"

In early 2013, Liu Qiang returned to his hometown and chose a hill 500 meters away from home to lay the foundation for his own business. He introduced 100 piglets, all of which bought native black pigs from mountain farmers.

At the beginning of his business, Liu Qiang paid attention to taking the road of brand. in August 2013, he registered and established the Wanxiang Black Pig Ecological Farm, and then established Kangyuan Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., gradually formed a breeding base in Haihui Village, Dawa Mountain, Xiaochi Town, slaughtered at a designated location in Xiaochi Town, the park became a processing, packaging, e-commerce sales, and set up its own physical store in Puchu Middle School as one of the raising, adding and selling industry chain. The products are mainly for consumers in urban areas. At the end of 2013, the first batch of 40 black pigs came out, producing more than 6000 jin of meat and an output value of more than 100,000 yuan, all of which were sold to the local market. Because of its good taste and excellent meat quality, it is suitable for the consumption of middle and high-grade people and is popular with the public. Just after the New year in 2014, Liu Qiang mobilized two college classmates from Wangjiang and Susong to join his own entrepreneurial team. After the two students joined in, Liu Qiang mainly went to the market, with male students in charge of technical management and female students in charge of finance. Enter the market, go to moments, post Wechat, do e-commerce, online and offline, the three students become golden partners, like a fish in water, the company's management of unboiled water, products gradually become hot sellers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai markets.

"We feed black pigs all melons, fruits and wild vegetables, which have been scattered in the mountains for more than two months, so the public like this kind of pork very much." Liu Qiang said that through his previous relationship, he sold pork to Shanghai, Guangzhou and other places, and the profit of a black pig could reach 1200 yuan per jin.

Fine pork should be developed in the future.

Liu Qiang's "second brothers" all have their own "identity cards", which is really a rare thing in the countryside. The local black pork sold for 68 yuan per jin in Shanghai, which has become a sensation in the local news.

All this benefited from the fact that in August 2015, Liu Qiang, introduced by a friend, met Xu Wenqing, the boss of Jingjiang in Jiangsu Province, who came to Taihu Lake to develop the farming industry. Xu Wenqing, who has developed healthy aquaculture for many years, has a wide range of middle and high-end consumer customer service groups in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, while the natural ecological environment of Taihu Lake has become a "natural oxygen bar" for the development of healthy aquaculture. Under the guidance of Xu Wenqing, they invited a group of college students who are interested in developing a healthy aquaculture industry to register their own brand under the geographical name of the ecological breeding base of "Elephant Trunk Tsui" in Siqian Town, develop recycling and healthy breeding industry, and break into the "Shanghai Beach". Elephant trunk mother and baby eggs are 4.4 yuan a piece, black pork is 68 yuan per jin, and the best-selling Shanghai is in short supply. "A 150-jin black pig has been carefully divided to meet the requirements of only 70-80 jin of pork, so the price is naturally high." Liu Qiang told reporters that the future should focus on the development of boutique meat market.

"in the future, the base will also monitor the whole breeding process. As long as consumers click the mouse at home and scan the QR code, they can see the whole process of ecological and healthy breeding of each pig at home, and their consumption is safer and more secure." Liu Qiang told reporters that at present, the annual column of 600 black pigs, profits of more than 1 million yuan, and then to expand the scale, within three years to reach the scale of 5000 black pigs.
