The price of fresh milk rose slightly in the bazaar

According to the fixed-point monitoring of the prices of livestock and poultry products and feed in 500 markets across the country, the prices of live pigs, beef and corn remained unchanged in the last week of August, while the prices of piglets, pork, mutton and live chickens decreased. The prices of beef, white-striped chicken, eggs and fresh milk rose.

The price of pigs. The average price of live pigs across the country is 18.62 yuan / kg, the same as the previous week, and up 2% compared with the same period last year. Live pig prices rose in 12 provinces, flat in 1 province and decreased in 17 provinces. The average price of live pigs is higher in Northwest China (19.23 yuan / kg) and lower in Northeast China (17.69 yuan / kg). The average price of pork nationwide was 29.67 yuan / kg, down 0.1% from the previous week and up 4.3% from the same period last year. Pork prices rose in 13 provinces, flat in 1 province and declined in 16 provinces. The average price of pork is higher in southwest region (30.27 yuan / kg) and lower in northeast region (28.5 yuan / kg). The national average price of piglets was 46.68 yuan / kg, down 0.5% from the previous week and up 34.1% from the same period last year. Piglet prices rose in 8 provinces, flat in 5 provinces and decreased in 17 provinces.

The price of eggs. The national average price of eggs was 9.48 yuan / kg, up 3% from the previous week and down 10.7% from the same period last year. The average price of eggs in 10 major producing provinces, including Hebei and Liaoning, was 8.25 yuan per kilogram, up 6.2 percent from the previous week and down 12.5 percent from the same period last year. The national average price of live chicken was 18.6 yuan / kg, down 0.1% from the previous week and 2.5% from the same period last year, while the average price of white-striped chicken was 19 yuan / kg, up 0.2% from the previous week and down 1.4% from the same period last year. The average price of commercial substitute chicks was 3.4 yuan per chicken, the same as the previous week, up 6.3 percent over the same period last year; the average price of commercial broiler chickens was 3.23 yuan per chicken, up 0.9 percent from the previous week and 19.6 percent year-on-year.

Price of beef and mutton. The national average price of beef was 61.91 yuan / kg, up 0.2% from the previous week and down 1.6% from the same period last year. The average price of beef in major producing provinces such as Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, Shandong and Henan was 55.46 yuan / kg, up 0.2% from the previous week; the average price in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces was 73.66 yuan / kg, up 0.2% from the previous week. The national average price of mutton is 54.67 yuan / kg, the same as the previous week, down 8.9% from the same period last year. The average price of mutton in major producing provinces such as Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Henan and * * was 50.25 yuan / kg, down 0.3% from the previous week; the average price in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi and Guangdong provinces was 65.05 yuan / kg, up 0.2% from the previous week.

Price of fresh milk. The average price of fresh milk in 10 major dairy producing provinces (regions), including Inner Mongolia and Hebei, was 3.4 yuan / kg, up 0.3% from the previous week and down 0.6% from the same period last year.

Feed price. The national average price of corn was 2.07 yuan / kg, the same as the previous week, down 14.5% from the same period last year. The average price of corn in the three provinces in northeast China, the main producing area, was 1.89 yuan / kg, down 0.5 percent from the previous week; the price of corn in Guangdong Province, the main selling area, was 2.22 yuan / kg, down 0.9 percent from the previous week. The national average price of soybean meal was 3.43 yuan / kg, down 0.3 percent from the previous week and up 4.9 percent from the same period last year. The average price of formula feed for fattening pigs was 3.1 yuan / kg, the same as the previous week, down 4% from the same period last year. The average price of formula feed for broilers was 3.14 yuan / kg, the same as the previous week, down 5.1% from the same period last year. The average price of compound feed for laying hens was 2.87 yuan / kg, the same as the previous week, down 5.3% from the same period last year.
