In the summer harvest season this year, there has been continuous rain in many places, which has caused a lot of trouble to the harvest and drying of summer grain. According to theory, grain drying machinery should be of great use at this time, but when the reporter interviewed in Shandong, Jiangsu and other places a few days ago, he found that a new type of business main body reflected that it was limited to land, capital, cost and other problems, and there was a large gap in drying machinery. Due to the lack of timely drying, the wheat harvest soon began to mildew or even sprout, seriously affecting the quality of wheat, it is difficult to sell at a good price.

On June 13, the reporter heard during an interview at Huxi Farm in Peixian County, Jiangsu Province that at 2: 00 a.m. on the same day, a dryer at the Fengda Village grain drying service station accidentally caught fire and 20 tons of wheat was set ablaze. "if you find out 30 minutes later and the circuit is burned, all eight dryers will be burned down." Feng Jukun, the person in charge of the service station, was very scared. The dryer manufacturer has sent someone to identify the accident. For safety reasons, Feng Jukun had to stop the drying operation, and the surrounding farmers who were waiting to dry the grain were very anxious.

Feng Jukun's eight dryers can only dry up to 320 mu of grain a day, while Huxi Farm alone has 40,000 mu of land. Although there are two or three drying service stations nearby, they are all operating at full capacity and cannot undertake additional tasks. He also wanted to expand the scale, but he was willing but powerless. At present, he has invested more than 1 million yuan, and although the state subsidy for eight dryers is nearly 280000 yuan, the daily cost of electricity, coal, labor and other operations is about 10,000 yuan, and there is still 220000 yuan for the rent of the venue and warehouse every year, so money has been very tight. Feng Jukun believes that now there is almost no place to dry grain in the village, and dryers are very popular, and now the gap is so large, mainly because of land and funds, and I hope that the government can give targeted support to dryers.

The drying link directly affects the grain quality and the increase of farmers' income, which needs to be paid attention to and solved. The reporter learned that although in 2014, the Ministry of Land and Resources and the Ministry of Agriculture jointly issued the "Circular on further supporting the healthy Development of Facility Agriculture," explicitly supporting the solution of the problem of land for supporting facilities necessary for large-scale grain production. If this policy can be well implemented and farmers have a place to build themselves without renting factories, drying costs can be greatly reduced.

Secondly, although the current drying equipment has been included in the list of subsidies for the purchase of agricultural machinery, the subsidy cannot be opened in many places with limited funds. Moreover, the existing subsidy only replenishes the dryer but not the boiler, and a boiler costs more than 100,000 yuan. All localities should, in the light of the actual situation, earmark matching funds from local finance to support the development of grain drying equipment and drive farmers' enthusiasm for purchase.

Again, the current dryer electricity is listed as industrial electricity, 1 degree 8 cents. It is suggested to coordinate the relevant departments to change it to agricultural electricity, which can be reduced to more than 3 cents. Calculated on the basis of 2000 kilowatt-hours of electricity per day, 1000 yuan can be saved, and it is the farmers who will eventually benefit.

Finally, encourage the development of drying equipment can not be in a rush, too high density will also cause idle waste. All localities should scientifically calculate the demand for drying according to their own conditions, and provide subsidies and support mainly by new operators, so as to meet their own needs and be able to radiate to the surrounding farmers to provide drying services.
