In the past two years, with the white-hot competition of agricultural materials terminal and the rise of large growers and cooperatives, the sales channels of retailers have been impacted to varying degrees, and dealers need to think about transformation. The existing agricultural materials, agricultural machinery and agricultural technology service system are no longer competent to support large-scale agriculture. Even if some large farmers and cooperatives purchase some modern agricultural machinery, the utilization rate is not high, and its operation cost is even higher than that of traditional agriculture. In this case, the author believes that a detailed social service system is needed to support it, and it is suggested that dealers who want to transform can transform to plant protection service providers.

Xiao Bian believes that the specialization and socialization of plant protection services can greatly reduce the use cost of agricultural machinery and the circulation cost of consumable agricultural materials while greatly improving production efficiency. Taking wheat harvesting as an example, professional "wheat" cross-regional harvesting operation can improve harvesting efficiency and greatly reduce labor cost.

At present, the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests in the production process of rice, wheat, corn, fruit trees, sugar cane and vegetables, the cultivation and transplanting of rice, fruit trees, and the harvesting of sugar cane and vegetables basically rely on manpower or simple tools. When small farmers purchase seeds, pesticides, fertilizers and agricultural machinery piecemeal, the prices of agricultural materials products are pushed up through the price increase layer by layer in the operation link, which raises the planting cost as a whole. Except that some crop harvesting basically realizes cross-domain operation, most agricultural services have not been participated in by scale service providers. For example, the socialization, whole-process and cross-regional operation of rice planting, fertilization, plant protection and drying have not yet emerged. Rice planting in southern China still depends on manpower. Under the trend of increasing labor price, the planting benefit of this traditional agriculture is completely uncompetitive.

For large farmers and cooperatives, due to the lack of socialized and whole-process plant protection service organizations, they are forced to invest in expensive but low-utilization agricultural machinery, which makes it difficult for large farmers and cooperatives to make profits except for heavy agricultural machinery depreciation cost, investment financial cost, storage cost and professional agricultural machinery wage cost.

In the future, the comprehensive plant protection service industry will provide convenience for agricultural operations such as pesticides, seeds, fertilizers, cultivation, management and protection, harvesting and drying, and help farmers to greatly save agricultural input costs. There is a large space for relevant markets, which is one of the directions for dealers to seek transformation.
