"Spring grass grows in ponds, willow trees in gardens turn into songbirds." Rural settlements used to be so poetic. However, it is an indisputable fact that the rural ecological environment has been deteriorating for a period of time, which not only threatens the healthy and sustainable development of rural economy, but also threatens the health of the people and even affects the survival and reproduction of future generations.

Rural environmental problems include many aspects from rivers to lakes, from wells to ditches, from cultivated land to hillsides, from fields to homes, etc. In the past, we did not pay enough attention to the pollution of rural environment, especially the pollution of rural soil, groundwater and even water sources. We always thought that rural areas were a vast world, and there was nothing to pollute them, and nature would digest them. In some places, environmental problems are regarded as worthless for the sake of rapid economic development. They think that although pollution is polluted today, it can be improved tomorrow. There is even local protectionism, which not only fails to rectify some seriously polluting enterprises or even illegal production enterprises, but also tries every means to protect them.

Some farmers 'living concepts and habits still remain in the state of a long time ago, livestock running everywhere, garbage dumping everywhere, sewage everywhere. Some local governments are willing to spend money on urban environmental protection and governance, but they are insensitive and do nothing when it comes to rural environmental protection and governance. To some people, the rural environment seems to be a matter of course. Therefore, both in terms of attention and investment in environmental governance are far lower than those of cities.

It is precisely because of this reason,"cancer village","pneumoconiosis village" and many other terms continue to appear. The phenomenon that cultivated land has no water to irrigate and people and livestock have no water to use because of the pollution of surface water and groundwater is by no means an accidental case.

Do not think that rural pollution is a minor problem. Who doesn't eat? Who doesn't drink water? When rural water, rural soil and rural air are not safe, who can guarantee that grain, vegetables and fruits produced in rural areas are safe and assured?

Fortunately, rural environmental protection has risen to the national level. The new Environmental Protection Law, which came into force on January 1, 2015, clearly stipulates: "People's governments at all levels shall allocate funds in their financial budgets to support environmental protection work such as the protection of rural drinking water sources, the treatment of domestic sewage and other wastes, the prevention and control of livestock breeding and slaughter pollution, the prevention and control of soil pollution, and the treatment of rural industrial and mining pollution."

Although the laws and regulations of the country are very clear, there are still many ways to go before they can be implemented. The most important thing is whether our Party committees and governments at all levels really attach importance to environmental protection in rural areas and whether they are determined to treat environmental protection in rural areas as a major issue, so as to restore and restore our rural environment to its original beautiful appearance.
