The roses sent by my lover are delicate and beautiful, but they wither in a few days. It's a pity! How can we make the flowers last longer? Today, the editor will share some tips for you. I hope it will be helpful to you.

Tips for preserving roses:

1. Use vitamin C or sugar

Crush a small piece of vitamin C into the water or add a little sugar to the water, then cut a small section from the bottom of the rose path received and put it into a water bottle with vitamin C or white sugar. Spray the petals and leaves of the roses with a watering can every day, so that you can better maintain the freshness of the roses.

2. Keep it fresh with beer

Add a little beer to the rose vase, because the beer itself contains ethanol, which can disinfect and preserve the cut of the rose branches, and because it contains sugar and other nutrients, it can provide proper nutrients to the branches and leaves of the roses, so that the roses can be preserved for a long time.

3. Add the right amount of salt and sugar to the water

Adding a small amount of sugar to the water can make the bud of the rose inserted in the vase more colorful and prolong the shelf life of the rose. The main function of adding salt to clear water to make it salt water is to prevent the growth of bacteria in the water, to a certain extent, to maintain the better water absorption capacity of flowers, so as to maintain the freshness of roses. However, we need to remind you that the concentration of salt water should not be too high, generally not more than 5%, otherwise the effect will be counterproductive.

4. Ingenious use of tea

The roses inserted into the vase wither easily, and generally speaking, the flowering period of the roses with clear water is only three or four days before they slowly wither. If tea is used instead of water, it can not only delay the withering time of roses, but also the flowers are bright and fragrant. It's better to have a stronger concentration of tea.

5. Use fresh flower preservative

If there is a fresh flower preservative on the market, an appropriate amount of fresh flower preservative can be added to the solution for inserting roses. The use of chemicals can prolong the fresh-keeping time of roses. If you don't want to spend money on flower preservatives, here's how to make yourself. Dissolve a little detergent in warm water and prepare a solution with a concentration of 2% to 4%. Dip the cut rose branches into water with a depth of about 5 cm. This can prolong the florescence of roses by more than 2 to 3 times.

Other tips:

1. Hot water method. Soak the base of the flower in boiling water for about 1 second, or soak it in hot water for two minutes, then soak it in cold water, which can infarct the incision and prevent the overflow of flower tissue juice. Mostly used in herbaceous flowers.

two。 Injection. Often used in aquatic flowers. The flower base of aquatic flowers is very fragile, and once they leave the place where they naturally grow, the flowers are easy to wither, so water can be injected from the flower stem with a syringe to maintain the flower's life.

3. Pharmacy. Adding an appropriate amount of fresh-keeping agent to the container of flower arrangement can prolong the florescence of flower arrangement. In addition, the addition of appropriate amount of boric acid, sulfur, salt, vitamins, salicylic acid and carbonic acid can prolong the flowering period. In addition, inserting calamus orchid with 1/3000 aspirin solution or 1/2000 potassium permanganate solution can prolong the flowering period by three to five days.

4. Fire method. Put the end of the flower branch on a candle flame and barbecue, soak it in alcohol for one minute, and then bleach it in clean water. It is often used in flowers with milk overflow in flower stems, such as poinsettia, peony, chrysanthemum and so on.

5. The method of enlarging the notched surface. The base of the flower branch is obliquely cut or cut into two to four parts and embedded in the pebbles to open the crack: or crack the base with a hammer to expand the water absorption. Mainly used in woody flowers, such as magnolia, hydrangea, cloves, wisteria, azaleas and so on.
