In 2006, Hulunbuir Land Reclamation Group adopted Valerani non-irrigation and rain-harvesting afforestation technology to plant Russian big fruit seabuckthorn and Heilongjiang small fruit seabuckthorn into the garden according to proportion. After years of cultivation and construction, it began to hang fruit one after another in 2010. now it is the peak fruit period of Hippophae rhamnoides, and it has become an ecological garden integrating viewing and picking.

Last year, Hulunbuir Land Reclamation held the first Hippophae rhamnoides picking Festival in the planting base of Tinihe farm, receiving an average of more than 100 tourists a day. This year, they took advantage of the opportunity to hold the second Hippophae rhamnoides picking Festival in the golden period of seabuckthorn picking, attracting many non-local tourists to pick by themselves or in groups.

"I came twice at last year's Hippophae rhamnoides picking Festival. After going back, my friends heard that they had to come with me this year, and agreed that every year the mature season of Hippophae rhamnoides would meet with Hulunbuir for agricultural reclamation. " Rong Rong, a tourist, told reporters while picking seabuckthorn. Due to the good quality and taste of Hippophae rhamnoides fruit of Hulunbuir Land Reclamation Group, seabuckthorn juice and jam can be made after processing, and products such as seabuckthorn oil and seabuckthorn tea can be extracted by deep processing. The products are exported to Beijing and other first-tier cities and are favored by consumers.

In recent years, combined with the development of large health industry, Hulunbuir Land Reclamation Group has implemented Green Bank action to change protective afforestation and greening afforestation into ecological and economic afforestation for the benefit of future generations and improving the ecological environment. Tinihe Farm has gradually expanded the forest area of Hippophae rhamnoides, and now the whole field has reached more than 2000 mu.

It is understood that in the next five years, Hulunbuir Land Reclamation Group also plans to build 10,000 mu of seabuckthorn garden, form a large-scale seabuckthorn planting and picking base, develop a series of Hippophae rhamnoides products, extend the industrial chain, open up the market, and create brands.
