Recently, the golden jujube in Leling, Shandong Province ushered in the harvest season. In the 300000 mu of Millennium Jujube Forest, the largest thousand-year-old artificial fruit forest in China, red jujubes are dotted with branches, which coincides with the poem "A thousand jujubes shoot cloud red" written by Wu Taipang, a poet of the Qing Dynasty.

The ancient jujube trees are like natural bonsai, attracting a large number of tourists to take pictures as a souvenir. Han Yujie, director of the Leling City Tourism Bureau, said that in the 300000 mu jujube forest tourist area, there are 13000 ancient jujube trees over a thousand years old, and countless ancient trees over 100 years old. The forest coverage in the tourist area is as high as 95%, which is a natural oxygen bar.

In September every year, the Golden Jujube Culture Festival and the Red Jujube Expo are held in Leling City, which promotes a series of tourism and cultural projects. The city has successively built more than 20 cultural tourist attractions, such as the Chinese Golden Silk jujube Culture Museum, the hundred Jujube Garden, the Jilu Border region Revolutionary Memorial Park, the jujube Township Family, the Jujube Township memory Hall, and so on. The 300000 mu Zaolin tourist area has been promoted to a national 4A tourist scenic spot. It has been awarded as "National Agricultural Tourism demonstration site", "National Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism demonstration site", "Provincial Forest Park", and the first batch of "Shandong self-driving Tourism demonstration sites".

More than 8000 jujube trees have been planted in the hundred jujube orchard, bringing together 596 species of high-quality jujube trees in China. Among them, there are more than 160 kinds of Leling local jujube and 64 kinds of golden jujube alone. Round red, small lie, clumsy bell, small wood, ring bell, crisp, purple skin, weight, waist, horse bell, pear jujube …... Many exquisite jujubes attracted groups of tourists. "in the past, there was more than 900 million yuan in ticket revenue from selling dates, but now selling 'scenery' alone earns more than 900 million yuan a year." Han Yujie said.

China is the hometown of jujube. According to historical records, the cultivation of Leling golden jujube began in the Shang and Zhou dynasties, flourished in the Wei and Jin dynasties, and flourished in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It has a history of more than 3000 years. In the eyes of Leling people, the golden jujube is full of treasures. Jujube red pigment worth 180000 yuan per ton can be extracted from jujube skin, branches and roots can be made into handicrafts, kernels can be made into activated carbon, jujube can be made into jujube slices, jujube tea, jujube juice, jujube wine, and can be put together with peanuts and walnuts to make sandwich jujube and crystal jujube.

Leling has been working on the fine processing of jujube. In Leling, a jujube has made a magnificent turn from "selling raw materials" to "selling products", and then to "selling brands", "selling tourism" and "selling culture". In the production workshop of Leling Baizao outline Biotechnology Co., Ltd., after more than a dozen extraction processes, such as enucleation, cleaning, drying and so on, the golden jujube has become jujube, jujube slices, sandwich jujube and other jujube products. Shi Shouhua, manager of the company, said: "our company has 86 varieties of products, such as original jujube, sandwich jujube, candied fruit, flushing and blending, etc., with an annual processing of 3500 tons and sales income of 100 million yuan, and the products sell well in more than 200 domestic cities."

At present, more than 400 deep processing enterprises of jujube have been developed in Leling City. More than 60 brands, including Huiyuan, Derun and Bai Zao Compendium, have developed 10 series of more than 140 kinds of products around different eating methods of jujube, which are exported to more than 50 countries and regions, including Europe and the United States. the annual output value reaches 2 billion yuan. The development of deep processing of jujube has also brought up a jujube "direct marketing corps" of 12000 people and 100000 professional jujube growers, with an annual per capita income of more than 4000 yuan.
