Last Updated: 2024/11/21, Vegetable prices in Yinchuan, Ningxia dropped significantly after the Mid-Autumn Festival.

In the past week of the Mid-Autumn Festival and Guerbang Festival holiday, the prices of 15 kinds of vegetables monitored and counted by the Price Bureau of Ningxia Hui Autonomous region have dropped sharply, and the prices of some green leafy vegetables have dropped by more than 40%.

In early September, under the influence of multiple factors, such as the advent of the double festival, the recent rainy weather in Yinchuan, the lower variety and supply of vegetables on the market in real estate in autumn than last year, and the higher purchase price of vegetables outside the caruncle, the prices of all 15 kinds of vegetables monitored before the festival rose, with an increase of more than 10% in 9 kinds.

With the weakening of the holiday effect, the wholesale price of vegetables in the Beihuan Wholesale Market has declined all the way since the middle and late September. On September 26, the statistical prices were 0.86 yuan per jin for tomatoes, 1.38 yuan per jin for beans, 0.38 yuan per jin for eggplant, 0.38 yuan per jin for Chinese cabbage and 0.98 yuan per jin for cucumbers.

According to the staff of the Beihuan Wholesale Market, the number of local dishes has rebounded after the festival, and the daily intake of nearly 400 tons has greatly supplemented the shortage of Waifu vegetables. "the total amount of local dishes plus Waifu vegetables is about 1500 tons per day. It can meet the vegetable consumption of the whole city and surrounding areas, which is basically the same as in previous years."

It is also understood that in late September, the prices of grain and oil, meat and poultry, eggs, and aquatic products all entered the downward channel, and the price department predicted that grain and oil prices will remain mainly stable in the later period, and with the advent of the National Day, the market demand for meat, poultry and eggs will increase somewhat, and the overall price will show a slight upward trend.
