Sun Ping, 34, is a villager of Sunzhuang Village, Matou Town, Xiayi County, Henan Province. In 2009, despite the opposition of her family, she quit her job in the design department of an automobile company and transferred more than 500 mu of land in her hometown to grow rare vegetables, melons and crops such as kiwifruit, precocious walnut, radish and so on. In order to study agricultural science and technology, Sun Ping participated in the vocational training of the county agricultural broadcasting school, became a new type of professional farmer and local scientific and technological talent, and realized the transformation from an enterprise designer to a professional farmer.
