What kind of sparks will burst out when the two words "network" and "agriculture" collide together? In this regard, three post-80s female college graduates in our county gave the answer with their own actions. From the initial opening of online stores and Wechat hawking to the current "company + base + farmers + Internet" industrial management model, they have not only helped farmers solve the marketing problem, but also embarked on a road of characteristic agricultural entrepreneurship.
The three female students are Lin Junchai, who graduated from Fuzhou University, Wang Chunhua, who graduated from Putian College, and Lin Qiuxia, who graduated from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. The reporter saw Wang Chunhua at the Wendan pomelo planting base in Houpu Village, Duwei Town. She was observing the growth of Wendan pomelo in the bushes. "in more than ten days, Wendan pomelo will begin to be picked. These are more than 30-year-old trees with thin skin and sweet flesh, and this year is another bumper harvest year. " Looking at the heavy fruit, Wang Chunhua said happily.
"We three girls came together because we had the same interests and aspirations." Wang Chunhua said frankly. Our county is rich in original ecological agricultural products, but many farmers do not master the marketing technology, can only wait in the field for merchants to purchase, unsalable agricultural products are wasted, resulting in great losses. "now that e-commerce is so developed, we all hope to sell agricultural products online so as to open up markets for fellow villagers to do some exploration." Wang Chunhua said.
After the trio put it together, they soon opened an online store on Taobao. In October last year, during the picking season of Wendan pomelo, they began to run for the first batch of trial sale, buying all the Wendan pomelo planted by farmers in Houpu village. After that, it is sold through online stores, Wechat and other means. Unexpectedly, the business was booming at the first try, nearly 30 tons of Wendan pomelo sold out in less than 2 months, and the supply was insufficient in the later period, so they went to the surrounding farmers to buy. In a quarter, excluding costs and labor costs, the profit is more than 60,000 yuan.
In order to start the hometown specialty brand, Wang Chunhua and others registered the trademark of "Xianshuiyang" seedless pomelo and worked hard on the outer packaging. Wang Chunhua took out a box: "this is our design, bright colors, more fashionable."
Walking into the rural Taobao store in Zhongfeng Village, Duwei Town, Lin Qiuxia and her staff are packing the local passion fruit for express delivery. "these are fresh fruits just picked from the trees. at present, supply exceeds demand, and nearly a ton can be sold in a day at the peak." Lin Qiuxia said.
Lin Qiuxia told reporters that nearly 7 hectares of passion fruit were planted there, and not long ago, the market was difficult for growers. Seeing the fresh fruit rotted at home, the growers were in a hurry to ask her for help. Through online marketing, this batch of passion fruits are once again popular on the Internet, selling all the backlog of products in a short time. Delighted, the growers signed a long-term cooperation agreement with them.
In order to further expand the scale and standardize the operation, the three registered Xiancao Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and carried out the division of labor. Lin Qiuxia was responsible for customer consultation and after-sales service, Wang Chunhua was responsible for marketing, and Lin Junchai was responsible for product design. The company has created an agricultural industrialization management model of "company + base + farmers + Internet". Its business covers local agricultural specialties, such as Duwei Wendan pomelo, Longhua barley rice, Shufeng loquat, and so on. There are more than a dozen cooperatives and large growers for a long time, and hundreds of ordinary farmers.
"to be an e-commerce, the most important thing is credibility. We can't be inferior and short. We should present the most authentic agricultural products to our customers." Lin Qiuxia said that they will stick to it, expand the industry and start the brand of specialty products in their hometown.
