Inadvertently, Shangwaquan Village appeared in front of us. Surrounded by green hills, white sheds are continuous; at the foot of the hill, houses with red tiles and white walls stand leisurely; not far away, several villagers are turning over fresh peanuts on the cement road. The village was quiet and natural, as if it had never been disturbed.

In the early autumn morning, it clears up after the rain and the air is fresher and fresher. When the reporter walked into the "first Village of Organic Agriculture" in the deep mountain area south of Boshan District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, he caught a glimpse of Liu Zhijie, a villager doing electric welding work at the entrance of the village.

"there is a greenhouse of nearly one acre at home, with organic leeks and sporadic welding work in my spare time." Liu Zhijie, 43, showed a cheerful character as soon as he spoke. "Organic agriculture is our 'lucky star', and everyone's life has been getting better and better in the past two years."

"how much do you earn a year?"

"Hey, hey, not much." He smiled and said, "the organic leeks we grow are of good quality and safe. They are much more expensive than ordinary leeks. They can sell for 50 yuan a jin." Holding his finger, Liu Zhijie calculated the cost-income account: two tons of organic fertilizer, 460 yuan a ton, more than a thousand anti-insect nets, armyworm boards, and biological agents, and a large investment when the greenhouse was just built. plastic sheeting, bamboo poles, and straw curtains cost a total of more than 20,000 yuan, but the government only had to pay 10,000 pieces, and organic leek could harvest more than 1000 jin a year, with a net drop of more than 30,000 yuan a year.

"how do you make sure it's organic?"

"the soil has been changed, chemical fertilizers and pesticides are not applied, and the land is watered with mountain springs and water." Liu Zhijie is full of confidence when he talks about organic agriculture in his hometown.

In 2008, Shangwaquan Village began to develop organic agriculture. At present, it has built 200mu organic strawberry greenhouse, 400mu organic leek greenhouse, planted 1500 mu of organic yellow peach and 100mu organic walnut, which has been designated as the whole organizational system to build a modern organic agricultural village and China Agricultural University as the organic leek demonstration base.

What is the opportunity to make this mountain village embark on the road of modern organic agriculture? it is necessary to ask Wang Jincheng, a branch secretary of Shangwaquan Village, who is known as the "organic secretary".

"in the past, the income was very low, and the per capita arable land was only more than one mu, but even if we worked hard, gold could not be planted in the field." What are the advantages of the village and how to rely on the advantages to find a way to get rich? Wang Jincheng, who had just taken office at that time, was lost in deep thought. Shangwaquan Village has a unique ecological environment. "leaning on mountains and water, there are no polluting enterprises in a radius of 20 kilometers, the water source is pure, the villagers drink mountain spring water, and there is little soil pollution." Through investigation, study and discussion with the higher government, Wang Jincheng locked in organic agriculture. "High added value is in line with people's pursuit of healthy and safe agricultural products, and the development of organic agriculture is definitely the right direction."

However, the beginning was not so smooth. "most people in the village, like me, are opposed to organic agriculture, but they are afraid. I'm afraid that the technology won't work, and I'm afraid I won't make money. " Liu Jiafen, a 49-year-old villager, recalled his worries and was happy first.

"later, more than 50 meetings were held in the village, and the secretary took everyone out to visit and study, and invited professors from China Agricultural University to guide technology. I don't worry at all now. " Liu Jiafen planted two mu of strawberries, which can be sold for 38 yuan per jin and intercropped kidney beans with an annual income of more than 40,000 yuan. After tasting the sweetness, he more consciously manages organic strawberries, and he already knows the organic production procedures well. When it comes to how to prevent insects and diseases, how to use biological agents, and so on, he is quite professional, and he is an authentic "organic farmer."

"are your strawberries and leeks easy to sell?"

"it's easy to sell! We don't have to worry about it at all. The co-operative in the village is responsible for contacting the market. At present, it is the off-season of strawberries and leeks. Strawberries were just planted half a month ago, and leeks grow slowly this season. We aim to be on the market before the Spring Festival, when the village is lively and many cars come in to collect. " On the mural at the gate of Liu Jiafen's house, the words "Jinqiao Fu Road" stand out.

"if you want to ask if there is anything to look forward to, that is, organic agriculture in the village will develop better and earn more money." Liu Jiafen's hopes are very simple.

Compared with the villagers, Wang Jincheng's consideration is more far-reaching. The next step is to expand the "organic" scale, expand the area of yellow peaches, interplant black peanuts, plant red roses, plant kiwifruit, and raise black chickens in the mountains, all "organic." "of course, there are also doubts. The technology needs to be mastered, the market is risky, and prices will fluctuate. The crisis of trust in organic agriculture in some places will also impact us. How to constantly expand our organic brands to win the market? how to improve cooperatives to better play a role, all these things need to be considered." It is not easy for Wang Jincheng to develop production on the one hand and to connect with the market on the other.

"however, we have many advantages, such as good ecology, good policies, and government support. the key is that 'organic' has taken root in the hearts of the people, the villagers are very energetic, and many migrant workers have come back. We are very confident! "
