Edible fungus is more and more favored by people as a green health food. In Linkou County, Heilongjiang Province, there is a group of farmers who get rich by planting edible fungi. In their words, there is a dutiful mushroom "know-it-all" who unreservedly teaches technology to bacterial farmers and becomes a "big shot in the bacterial community" trusted and supported by the broad masses of bacterial farmers. he is Xu Qinghai, a technician in the Office of Edible Mushroom Industry Development of Linkou County supply and Marketing Federation.

According to the calculation, Xu Qinghai, 56, has been growing edible fungi for 17 years. According to Xu Qinghai, only when he was educated in junior high school, he started farming in 1982, and it was not until 1999 that he began to grow edible fungi. "at that time, there was little land and low income from farming, so he wanted to make more money." Xu Qinghai said that at that time, he saw on TV that edible mushrooms were planted in a large area in the south, while edible mushroom cultivation in the northeast was just emerging, so he wanted to be the first person in the village to grow edible fungi.

As soon as he thought of it, Xu Qinghai quickly bought books on the cultivation of bacteria, studied them attentively, and asked for advice from bacteria-breeding professionals in nearby counties. After he began to grow fungus, Xu Qinghai ate and lived in the greenhouse, working from morning till night. After groping and studying, he finally succeeded in cultivating 20,000 bags of bacteria in the second year, with a net income of more than 20,000 yuan. "this is much higher than the income from farming." Seeing that Xu Qinghai tasted the sweetness in growing edible fungi, the villagers also joined in one after another.

In order to cultivate edible fungi with better quality and higher output, Xu Qinghai studied the advanced greenhouse bag cultivation technology in the south; in order to reduce air pollution caused by high temperature sterilization and really achieve energy saving and emission reduction, Xu Qinghai improved the raw coal sterilized boiler to Xing coal sterilized boiler. Because of his excellent technology, his strain is free of miscellaneous bacteria, easy to survive and high yield. he makes full use of corncob and soybean stalk as raw materials to cultivate edible fungi, and also uses waste mushrooms to grow mushrooms, which not only achieves the utilization of waste, but also improves the production efficiency of edible fungi, and realizes the wealth value of corncobs and edible fungi.

In 2013, Xu Qinghai, who was still growing bacteria in Dongning County, heard that bacterial farmers in Linkou County were going to stop cultivating edible mushrooms. After inquiring, they learned that because they did not know the technology and could not manage, the rate of finished edible fungi they cultivated was low and the income was low, so the bacterial farmers did not dare to continue to cultivate them. "after hearing this, I wondered if I could impart my skills and experience to them to help them continue to grow edible fungi." Xu Qinghai told reporters.

With this idea in mind, Xu Qinghai contacted the appointed secretary of Linkou County and put forward his own idea. After hearing this, the secretary of the county party committee immediately decided to let Xu Qinghai come to Linkou County to do technical work related to the cultivation of Auricularia auricula, and set up the Linkou County Edible Mushroom Industry Development Office.

After coming to Linkou County, Xu Qinghai did not stop for a moment. "you can't just have the determination to carry a heavy burden, but also have the power to do your best to serve the bacterial farmers and increase their income." From the first day he came to work in Linkou County Edible Mushroom production Office, he has been on the road to helping bacterial farmers.

During the day, he personally served as a teacher, organizing bacterial farmers to carry out written or on-the-spot training one by one; at night, without taking a rest, he went to the east village to visit the west village to carry out targeted training for bacterial farmers. In the more than three years since he came to Linkou County, Xu Qinghai has spent little time sitting in the office and most of the time in bacterial bag factories, bacterial farmers and bacterial fields. In order to facilitate the consultation of the bacterial farmer, he told the bacterial farmer his mobile phone number, and the bacterial farmer could call him at any time if there were any problems in the process of making bacteria. No matter whether it is windy or rainy, or day or night, as long as he receives a phone call from a bacterial farmer, Xu Qinghai will immediately hit the road and rush to the bacterial farmer's home. "I am also a bacterial farmer, and I know how hard it is. If problems with fungi are not dealt with in a timely manner, the harvest will be affected for a whole year." While running around like this, Xu Qinghai never collected a fee from the bacterial farmer, and even the travel fee and accommodation fee were paid out of his own pocket by Xu Qinghai.

Where there is pay, there is harvest. Today, the bacterial farmers in Linkou County have improved greatly from ideology to comprehensive quality. The bacterial bag factory in Linkou County has turned from loss to profit, and the net income of bacterial farmers has also increased significantly. More and more farmers are joining the ranks of cultivating edible fungi.

In order to teach more farmers to learn the cultivation techniques of edible fungi, Xu Qinghai established a fungus demonstration base in Zhichang Village, Longzhao Town, Linkou County in 2015, where fungus farmers or farmers who are interested in cultivating edible fungi can come to the base to watch and learn. The fungus base has driven the enthusiasm of villagers to plant black fungus. Since its establishment, Xu Qinghai has received more than 500 bacterial farmers, whether they are villagers in this county or from other counties. Xu Qinghai has tried his best to explain it without charging any fees. This has also been recognized and trusted by the people.

Xu Qinghai is full of confidence in the future. "my job is to serve the people, and in the future I will unreservedly impart my experience and technology to more and more farmers, so that more and more farmers can get rich by cultivating edible fungi!"
