After listening to the introduction, Chen Shuang came up with the idea of raising chickens, so he invested more than 700,000 yuan to build a chicken farm and buy chicken seedlings, and began the entrepreneurial road of raising chickens.

Watching the chicken seedlings grow up day by day, Chen Shuang was full of confidence, but he was deeply hit by an epidemic.

More than 10,000 guinea fowls on the farm died in large areas due to infection with germs. although Chen Shuang immediately took remedial measures such as isolation and medication, they still suffered heavy losses.

"I never wanted to give up. Now that I have chosen this path, I have to take it out of the way." Chen Shuang, who refused to admit defeat, soon cheered up and began to strengthen the study of aquaculture techniques.

In the second half of 2015, Chen Shuang handed over the chicken farm to his father. He went to major chicken farms in Chongqing, Shaanxi, Chengdu and other places to learn from his peers. Half a year later, he finally learned something and mastered the methods of prevention and treatment of chicken epidemic.

In addition, Chen Shuang also invited professors from Southwest University to visit his chicken farm to guide the scientific matching of feed. "this formula of feed can shorten the breeding cycle, but does not change the taste and nutritional value of chicken. I intend to produce it on a large scale to improve efficiency." Chen Shuang said.

Chen Shuang's chicken farm mainly raises broilers and guinea fowls, supplemented by a small amount of Chicken Wings and Legs with Brown Sauce. This kind of aquaculture structure is the conclusion drawn by him after market research.

"now this season I will sell about 3 jin of broilers, the weight is appropriate, the meat is also very delicate, more popular." Chen Shuang said that during the Spring Festival, the market demand for large-sized broilers will increase, and he mainly sells broilers weighing more than 5 jin.

As of August this year, Chen Shuang's chicken farm had produced a total of 25000 commercial chickens, with sales of nearly 1 million yuan. Excluding various costs, the net income was more than 300,000 yuan.

Plan to raise chickens under the forest

"there is a great competition in the market this year, and I plan to expand the stock of the chicken farm to 30,000-60,000." Chen Shuang's chicken farm is backed by the mountains and close to the Pueraria base, creating good conditions for stocking.

Chen Shuang plans to transfer the surrounding mountain forest by the end of the year, set up a purse seine along the edge of the forest, let chickens breed in the forest, feed miscellaneous grains such as corn, and build a brand of grain chicken under the forest. At the same time, he negotiated with the owner of the Gegen base to let the chickens enter the field after pulling the vine to eliminate weeds and pests, which can not only reduce the breeding cost, but also save the management cost of the Pueraria base, killing two birds with one stone.
